14 International Teams to Compete in 2026 ASEAN Police Golf Championship

The organizing committee of Sports Festival 2026 said that 14 teams from countries and territories have confirmed their participation in the 2026 ASEAN Police International Team Golf Championship.

The teams taking part include representatives from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Taiwan (China), Hungary, Japan, Norway, and the host nation, Vietnam.

The event is scheduled to take place from July 31 to August 2 at the NovaWorld Phan Thiet Golf Club, which features a 36-hole golf complex that meets PGA standards, situated within the expansive NovaWorld Phan Thiet urban development in Tien Thanh Ward, Lam Dong Province.

According to the organizing committee, the involvement of 14 international teams highlights the increasing popularity and status of the tournament. This event serves as a platform for police and law enforcement agencies from ASEAN nations and their international counterparts, while also aiding in the enhancement of camaraderie, collaboration, and cultural and sporting exchanges among law enforcement bodies from various countries.

In conjunction with the Sports Festival 2026, the second People's Public Security Open Golf Tournament is scheduled for August 1 and is expected to draw nearly 150 golfers. Among the participants are approximately 60 leaders and officials from the People's Public Security forces and other armed forces, along with over 90 business professionals, partners, and guests.

In addition to the sporting events, the organizers of two golf tournaments will collaborate with the Lam Dong Provincial Police to carry out a program aimed at constructing charitable homes for families in need in border regions.

In 2025, the inaugural People's Public Security Open Golf Tournament enabled the organizing committee and its partners to raise funds to build 14 charitable homes for underprivileged families in the border districts of Lam Dong Province. By the beginning of 2026, all the homes had been completed and handed over to the families.

According to the organizing committee, the homes not only help disadvantaged families stabilize their lives but also contribute to stronger community security and more resilient border areas.

The Sports Festival 2026 is co-hosted by the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, NovaGroup, and other relevant organizations, and is scheduled to run from July 7 to September 22. With the theme “Sports Connect – Spreading Love – Joining Hands to Protect the Nation's Borderlands,” this series of events features thrilling competitions while also fostering a spirit of compassion through various community-focused initiatives.
