A "Bright Spot" in Lam Dong’s Economic Landscape
By the end of 2025, Lam Dong Province recorded a major breakthrough in state budget revenue, reaching VND 32 trillion—120% of the local estimate and fully meeting additional targets assigned by the central government. This result stood out as a key highlight in the province’s socio-economic performance, reflecting strong economic resilience amid ongoing challenges.

2025 marked a milestone year for Lam Dong’s budget collection. Domestic revenue alone reached nearly VND 29.8 trillion, up 17% year-on-year and exceeding all assigned targets. Taxes, fees and charges remained the mainstay, contributing almost VND 19 trillion, while land-use revenue, lottery proceeds and registration fees all recorded double-digit growth.
Notably, centrally managed state-owned enterprises posted a sharp increase of over 82%, while personal income tax rose 22%, signaling improving incomes, business activity and consumer purchasing power. All 13 local tax units reported growth, with most surpassing their targets—demonstrating the early effectiveness of the province’s restructured tax administration model.

The strong revenue performance has enabled Lam Dong to better balance its budget and secure resources for economic development, social welfare and urgent priorities. These results stemmed from close coordination between provincial authorities, the tax sector, businesses and residents, alongside flexible, locally tailored management solutions.
Digital transformation emerged as a key driver of sustainable revenue management. The tax sector expanded the use of AI, Big Data and electronic invoices—particularly point-of-sale e-invoices—to enhance transparency and efficiency.
Tax management of e-commerce activities also improved markedly, with over 4,600 digital-platform sellers reviewed and more than VND 341 billion collected, helping curb revenue losses in this high-potential sector.

Looking ahead to 2026, Lam Dong’s tax authority will continue comprehensive, taxpayer-centered management, focusing on revenue growth, debt recovery, risk control and leakage prevention. Clear quarterly targets have been assigned to each unit, alongside tighter oversight of sectors with remaining revenue potential.
Provincial leaders emphasized that the nearly VND 30 trillion in domestic revenue collected in 2025 provides a solid financial foundation for Lam Dong’s next development phase, supporting its goals of rapid and sustainable growth in the 2026–2030 period.
