With a total area of more than 38 square kilometers and a population of nearly 50,000, Phuoc Hoi is currently one of the largest wards in Lam Dong Province after the recent administrative merger. Located along Vietnam’s national coastal development corridor, the ward holds a strategic advantage in the province’s economic restructuring process.

According to Ton That Muon, Secretary of the Phuoc Hoi Party Committee, urban planning and management in commerce, services, and tourism have always been key priorities. The ward is focusing on improving its commercial and service infrastructure, laying a foundation for modern and eco-friendly tourism development.

Currently, Phuoc Hoi has about 1,200 businesses operating in commerce and services—an increase of more than 400 compared to 2020. Sectors such as restaurants, hotels, consumer goods, electronics, freight, and passenger transport are all thriving, effectively meeting the growing needs of both residents and visitors.

At the same time, the ward is investing heavily in urban upgrading projects linked with coastal tourism infrastructure. Several key roads—such as Nguyen Du, Le Minh Cong, Ben Chuong Duong, and Truong Vinh Ky—have been expanded and upgraded, along with new drainage systems, sidewalks, and street lighting, giving Phuoc Hoi a modern and polished urban appearance.

Traditional markets such as La Gi Market and Cam Binh Market have been renovated and upgraded, creating a more civilized trading environment. The Phuoc Loc Market Project, part of the La Gi Coastal Urban–Commercial–Service Area invested by Vi Nam Company, has completed roughly 95% of its first-phase infrastructure, and is expected to become a new economic highlight for the region.

In addition, the number of tourist accommodations is growing rapidly, with 30 establishments and nearly 900 rooms now in operation. New investments in dining, lodging, and entertainment services are helping form a diverse and appealing tourism space.

A Key Driver of Economic Growth

Phuoc Hoi is actively implementing Resolution No. 06 of the Provincial Party Committee on tourism development toward 2025, with a vision to 2030. The ward currently has 20 tourism projects approved for investment—3 under construction and 5 already operational, concentrated mainly in the Cam Binh coastal area, regarded as the “heart” of the local tourism economy.

Alongside infrastructure development, the ward pays special attention to regulating community-based tourism activities in Cam Binh, ensuring safety, environmental hygiene, fair pricing, and a culture of civilized tourism.

The Party Committee has set a clear goal: to effectively harness local potential by making commerce, services, and tourism the core economic pillars, aligned with digital transformation, green growth, and the circular economy. Tourism is positioned as a leading economic sector, with a focus on creating distinctive products that combine coastal landscapes, local culture, and experiential agriculture.

Phuoc Hoi is also working to attract capable and reputable investors, encourage smart services and tourism logistics, and apply artificial intelligence (AI) in destination promotion, visitor guidance, and tourism data management.

At the same time, the locality continues to preserve natural landscapes, protect the marine environment, ensure public safety, and build a civilized and friendly tourism culture—reinforcing its image as a safe and welcoming destination.

Toward a Modern and Sustainable Coastal Ward

Phuoc Hoi is now mobilizing investment capital to upgrade urban transport infrastructure, develop public coastal spaces, and create eco–tourism hubs that integrate with community life.

With a clear development vision and the united effort of both the political system and local residents, Phuoc Hoi is asserting its position as a dynamic destination on the journey to build a modern and sustainable coastal tourism city, contributing to transforming the area into a regional hub of economy and tourism.
