A New Market Space in Da Lat Attracts Visitors
In the heart of Da Lat, a revitalized market is emerging as a new experiential hub for residents and tourists alike — a space that reflects creativity, community spirit and the entrepreneurial drive of young people, helping reshape its commercial landscape.

A “Market of Young Da Lat” Goes Viral
More than just a trading venue, the market has earned the affectionate nickname “the market of young Da Lat.” Rows of refurbished kiosks have been transformed into a creative business complex, quickly becoming a popular check-in trend across social media platforms such as TikTok and Facebook. The experience of “exploring Da Lat’s kiosk market” has become a top-trending search for visitors flocking to the flower city.
Le Quoc Dai from An Giang said the market was his group’s first stop after an overnight journey. Drawn by social media posts, he was impressed by the youthful atmosphere and vibrant colors set against Da Lat’s cool climate. “Even though I’ve been here many times, there’s always something new to discover,” he said.
Nguyen Huy Linh, one of the early entrepreneurs involved in the project, explained that the idea began with a desire to revive long-closed stalls and create a shared startup space for young people. From just a handful of kiosks, the market now welcomes hundreds of visitors daily. The collective efforts of young entrepreneurs have given the venue a fresh, energetic identity.
Thanks to social media promotion, vacant kiosks were quickly filled with diverse business models designed to avoid direct competition, fostering a healthy and collaborative environment. As a result, the market becomes especially vibrant on weekends, attracting both tourists and local residents.

Where Tradition Meets Modern Energy
According to the Da Lat Center Market Management Board, the second floor of the market had remained quiet for more than a decade despite various promotional policies.
Since October 2025, however, the space has gradually come back to life as young entrepreneurs introduced creative concepts, turning it into a shopping-and-experience destination that blends modern aesthetics with the spirit of a traditional market.
Currently, nearly 100 out of almost 300 kiosks operate regularly, offering a wide range of products — from food, beverages and coffee to handicrafts, souvenirs and essential oils that reflect Da Lat’s identity. Each stall presents its own story through distinctive design and customer-focused service.
This fusion of old and new has significantly increased foot traffic, benefiting both long-time traders and startup ventures. Vo Thi My Nga, a veteran vendor at the market, said the “fresh breeze” brought by young businesses has made trading more dynamic and attracted more customers than before.
Market authorities emphasized that alongside encouraging innovation, safety standards — including fire prevention and public security — remain a top priority. The market is envisioned as a creative yet orderly space where traditional vendors and new business models coexist harmoniously.

Beyond commerce, it is gradually becoming a cultural destination where visitors can experience the rhythm of Da Lat’s traditional market life in a youthful, modern way while preserving the city’s unique charm.
