Construction preparations underway, but delays remain
At the meeting, representatives of relevant units gave detailed updates on their assigned tasks. For the Bao Loc – Lien Khuong expressway, the investor has completed the overall plan and largely finalized technical design dossiers for priority sections scheduled for construction in April 2026, which are now under appraisal.
Construction preparations have been advanced through framework agreements with contractors and the mobilization of machinery and equipment at multiple locations along the route.

Site clearance has achieved initial results, with local authorities handing over several sections to facilitate construction. Related procedures, including forest land-use conversion, economic efficiency assessments for mineral recovery and mine clearance, are being implemented as planned.
However, overall progress remains behind schedule, particularly in completing dossiers for investment policy adjustments, finalizing technical designs for the entire route and fully mobilizing construction resources.

For the Tan Phu – Bao Loc expressway, the investor has completed the overall plan and is finalizing key documents. However, technical design dossiers for priority sections have yet to be submitted for appraisal, while investment policy adjustment dossiers still require further revision and completion.

Initial construction preparations have begun but face significant challenges due to site clearance bottlenecks. Land handover rates remain low in planned construction areas, with many households yet to receive compensation or complete inventory procedures.

Mobilizing resources to meet deadlines
In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman Nguyen Hong Hai stressed that the two expressway projects are of special importance to the province’s socio-economic development. He urged investors and project enterprises to mobilize maximum resources and accelerate all work items in line with the established timeline.

He called for the prompt completion and submission of dossiers related to investment policy adjustments, technical designs and socio-economic efficiency assessments, while intensifying the mobilization of manpower and equipment to ensure readiness for construction once land is handed over.

Relevant departments, sectors and localities were also tasked with strengthening coordination to address difficulties, particularly in site clearance, forest land-use conversion and the completion of necessary legal procedures.

The Vice Chairman further requested the provincial Land Fund Development Center and local authorities to step up public engagement, promptly resolve petitions and accelerate land handover, striving to meet construction requirements in April and achieve key milestones before April 30, 2026.

Accelerating the two expressway projects will not only help complete Lam Dong’s strategic transport infrastructure but also create strong momentum for regional connectivity and expanded socio-economic development in the coming period.
