Attracting and Retaining Investors in Lam Dong
To attract and retain investors, Lam Dong Province is committed to strengthening a safe and stable investment environment while enhancing the governance capacity of the two-level local authorities to engage in dialogue, listen, promptly address emerging obstacles, and support investors throughout the entire project life cycle.

Currently, Lam Dong has formed nine key agricultural product groups with the highest output in the country, including vegetables, flowers, pepper, coffee, durian, dragon fruit, avocado, macadamia, and mulberry, thereby affirming its position and strengths in Vietnam’s agricultural sector.
To attract business investment and enhance competitiveness for the 2026–2030 period, the province will focus on resolving bottlenecks and creating favorable conditions for enterprises regarding land, environment, and mineral procedures, while improving the quality of appraisal and licensing. Priority will be given to attracting projects that apply advanced technologies, are environmentally friendly, and use resources efficiently.
To increase added value and boost the competitiveness of Lam Dong's agricultural products in both domestic and international markets, businesses are also urged to invest in deep processing, brand building, and product traceability, while expanding production in compliance with VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and organic standards.
Lam Dong is notably enhancing public disclosure and transparency in planning activities, ensuring coordinated plan adjustments, and upholding the principle that lower-level planning aligns with higher-level planning. Additionally, the province is developing power grid and generation infrastructure, including renewable energy initiatives and new energy sources such as green ammonia and hydrogen. Simultaneously, it is examining and modernizing warehousing systems, planning commercial infrastructure, expediting infrastructure development, and securing funding for major secondary projects.
According to statistics for 2025, the province’s industrial parks attracted 18 investment projects, totaling nearly 58 hectares and registered investment capital of more than VND 1,578.2 billion and USD 57.1 million. To date, industrial parks across the province have attracted 238 investment projects, including 57 FDI projects and 181 domestic investment projects, with a total leased land area of 726.5 hectares and total registered investment capital of nearly VND 46,411.1 billion and USD 5,514.9 million, corresponding to an average industrial park occupancy rate of approximately 54%.

Son My I Industrial Park is currently facilitating investment procedures for three key projects: the Son My I BOT Thermal Power Plant, the Son My II Thermal Power Plant, and the LNG terminal and gas port. These projects span more than 156.1 hectares with a total registered investment capital of roughly USD 5.4 billion. Eleven industrial parks totaling over 2,012.6 hectares are currently operational throughout the province, while three others are under development, with infrastructure construction in progress.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Management Board of Industrial Parks has completely re-engineered all administrative processes on the public service platform. Online payment and public postal services for application submissions and the return of results have been seamlessly integrated. One prominent initiative is the "paperless dossier" model, which reduces time and expenses while minimizing errors for investors by digitizing and using electronic forms linked to the national database.
As a result, the Provincial Management Board of Industrial Parks achieved a score of 92.46 points in the 2025 Public Service Index for citizens and businesses, significantly bolstering Lam Dong Province's overall governance capabilities and investment climate.
With the governance capacity of authorities at all levels continuously enhanced, creating a truly open, transparent, stable, and highly competitive business environment is the key factor determining Lam Dong’s ability to attract and retain investors.
