Diversifying Promotion Activities, Stimulating Demand

In early April, Lam Dong’s tourism booth, themed “Come to Love,” drew considerable interest from both travel enterprises and attendees at the Vietnam International Travel Mart 2026 held in Hanoi.

The space was designed with an open layout on all four sides and featured soft color schemes, highlighting unique visuals of the area recognized for its “expansive forests – myriad flowers – azure seas.” Over 20 local tourism businesses took part, offering their signature products to both partners and attendees.

Mr. Luong Thanh Tai, a representative of Dak G’lung Ecotourism Area (Tuy Duc Commune), mentioned that the fair served as a platform to introduce travel agencies and northern tourists with the image of western Lam Dong.

Through various promotional efforts, they received numerous proposals for cooperation and tour bookings focused on nature-based experiences.

According to Mr. Tai, many visitors who learned about the area at an earlier tourism promotion event in Ho Chi Minh City later travelled directly to Dak G’lung Waterfall to experience the culture of the M’nong ethnic community. These positive signs have bolstered confidence in the effectiveness of tourism promotion efforts.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced a series of “Welcome Summer Tourism 2026” events featuring a wide range of cultural, sports and tourism activities. Designed to connect with one another, the events are expected to help strengthen Lam Dong’s tourism brand while offering visitors new experiences.

Speaking at a meeting on the programme’s implementation, Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized the need for close coordination among departments, local authorities and businesses. He said the programme’s success should be measured not only by visitor numbers, but also by the quality of the visitor experience. “Activities must create a strong ripple effect, reinforcing Lam Dong’s image as a friendly and attractive destination. At the same time, cultural and sports events should be closely linked with tourism to enhance the province’s appeal,” he said.

Joining Hands to Refresh Summer Tourism Products

Alongside proactive efforts from the tourism sector, local tourism and service businesses have actively joined stimulus programs to attract visitors this summer.

The provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center said that over 70 businesses have signed up to take part in the 2026 tourism stimulus initiative. Numerous hotels, tourist attractions, and travel agencies are providing enticing promotions, with discounts between 10% and 30%, as well as bonuses like souvenirs and experiential activities.

Deputy Director of Dalat Tourist Nguyen Nhat Vu mentioned that the company has created summer tour packages at discounted rates to motivate travelers to select Lam Dong as their vacation destination. Besides reduced accommodation and entry fees, the company emphasizes all-inclusive tour packages that link several locations and experiences, offering travelers more choices at affordable prices.

As Vu pointed out, when numerous businesses take part in stimulus initiatives that offer real incentives, the attractiveness of the destination greatly increases, fostering a lively tourism market during the busy season.

Moreover, businesses are working together to develop innovative tourism offerings by linking travel services, accommodation, transport and attractions. Improving service quality and maintaining a safe, welcoming tourism environment are also seen as key to retaining visitors.

With the combined efforts of the tourism sector and the business community, the 2026 summer tourism stimulus program is expected to deliver a wide range of attractive experiences while further strengthening Lam Dong’s appeal as a destination. The province aims to welcome 25.8 million visitors in 2026.
