Building Momentum for Double-Digit Growth
According to recent conclusions from the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Committee, Lam Dong’s socio-economic performance in the first quarter of 2026 met expectations, with several indicators posting positive growth.

A growth rate of 9.8% not only exceeded the target but also provided important momentum for achieving double-digit growth in 2026 and throughout the current term. Notably, the province’s key economic pillars remain stable and resilient.
Agriculture continues to play a foundational role, with production staying on schedule and many indicators meeting or surpassing targets. The service sector is maintaining its recovery trajectory, reflecting improving domestic demand and a gradual rebound in tourism, as both domestic and international visitor numbers rise. Meanwhile, state budget revenue surpassed VND 11.3 trillion—an impressive result that signals strong economic health while providing additional fiscal space for governance and development investment.
Investment attraction has also made significant progress. The approval of 10 projects with total registered capital exceeding VND 54.6 trillion, alongside adjustments to 12 large-scale projects, highlights growing investor confidence in the province’s business environment. Beyond capital inflows, these projects are expected to drive technology transfer, job creation, and economic restructuring toward a more modern and diversified model.
These achievements are underpinned by continuous improvements in the investment and business climate, a sharp increase in newly established enterprises, and sustained attention to socio-cultural development. They reflect flexible and decisive governance across all levels, as well as strong engagement from the business community and local residents.
More importantly, Lam Dong views these results not as an endpoint but as a starting point. The ambition of double-digit growth requires a proactive, forward-looking approach rather than complacency. At a recent meeting reviewing first-quarter performance and setting priorities for the second quarter of 2026, Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam emphasized the need to strengthen accountability, innovate leadership methods, enhance administrative efficiency, and promote decentralization alongside more effective inspection and supervision. These are identified as key levers to translate determination into measurable outcomes.
At the national level, the call for rapid yet sustainable growth remains a central priority. In his closing remarks at the 2nd Plenum of the 14th Central Committee, General Secretary To Lam outlined core principles for achieving double-digit growth: ensuring substantive and high-quality expansion; maintaining macroeconomic stability; controlling inflation; balancing key economic factors; optimizing resource allocation with priority for major projects and public-private partnerships; and ensuring that growth translates into improved living standards and greater social equity. These principles provide both direction and benchmarks for Lam Dong’s development strategy.
With its rich natural resources, diverse economic structure, and improving regional connectivity, Lam Dong holds substantial growth potential. However, unlocking this potential requires innovative thinking, new approaches, and strong political commitment. The first-quarter results demonstrate that when governance is synchronized, businesses are confident, and citizens actively participate, high and sustainable growth is not only achievable but within reach.
