Cat Tien 3 Welcomes the New Spring with Fresh, Vibrant Colors
Lunar New Year 2026 arrives in Cat Tien 3 commune, Lam Dong province, bringing with it renewed momentum and confidence. Building on its outstanding achievement in 2025, the locality enters the New Year determined to improve people’s living standards and foster sustainable development.

In 2025, despite numerous challenges, the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Cat Tien 3 Commune made concerted efforts to implement socio-economic development tasks. It achieved notable results, with several targets meeting or exceeding the set plans.
A highlight of the local economic picture is the production value per hectare, which reached approximately VND 154 million, surpassing the planned target. State budget revenue in the area exceeded VND 2.6 billion, achieving 129% of the target, with revenues from taxes, fees, and charges all increasing compared to the same period last year. Per capita income in 2025 was estimated at VND 45 million, exceeding the set goal and significantly improving residents' quality of life.
Agriculture continues to play a vital role in the local economic structure. The commune maintains over 85% of its rice-growing area under high-quality varieties, while expanding the production of seed rice and VietGAP-certified safe rice. Fruit cultivation—especially durian—has developed strongly and delivered clear economic returns.
Efforts to convert low-yield crops have accelerated, resulting in the transition of hundreds of hectares to more valuable crops. Furthermore, the integration of water-saving irrigation and modern agricultural techniques has significantly enhanced both productivity and product quality.
Simultaneously, forest management, conservation, and forestry initiatives have been strengthened, with over 12,000 hectares of forest effectively managed and protected. Tree-planting initiatives have gained widespread support, surpassing their initial targets.
Programs for irrigation, disaster risk management, and new rural development have been implemented in an integrated manner, supporting production and helping stabilize local livelihoods. In terms of socio-cultural achievements, numerous goals have been reached or exceeded.
The multidimensional poverty rate has decreased to 0.38%, with a notable reduction observed among ethnic minority households. Almost 98% of the population is now enrolled in health insurance; every child under one year old has received full vaccinations; and 8 out of 9 schools continue to adhere to national standards.
The initiative to establish a cultural lifestyle remains strong, with over 98% of households classified as “cultural families” and all hamlets fulfilling cultural criteria.
Improvements in administrative reform and digital transformation have been notable: more than 99% of administrative files are completed ahead of deadlines, leading to increased public satisfaction. Maintaining national defense, security, and social order has created a stable environment conducive to growth.
Mr. Tran Quang Trung, the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Cat Tien 3 Commune, mentioned that the successes of 2025 lay a crucial groundwork for the community to approach 2026 with even greater resolve—continuing to leverage its potential and benefits, efficiently gather resources, and aim to achieve socio-economic development targets in the upcoming phase.
