Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi expects local young people to contribute groundbreaking initiatives and demonstrate a spirit of innovation, joining hands with the province to achieve the goal of double-digit economic growth.

On October 22, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi chaired the 2026 youth dialogue conference.
Under the theme "Promoting the role of youth in entrepreneurship and innovation, contributing to economic growth and job creation," the conference was held both in person and online, connecting 124 communes, wards, and special administrative zones across the province.

Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan; leaders of departments, agencies, and units; and over 100 Youth Union members and other young people, representing nearly 622,000 young people across Lam Dong province, attended the conference.
Delivering the opening speech at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that fewer than 70 days remained in 2026. Meanwhile, the pressure and workload were immense, as everyone had to make a concerted effort to accomplish the socio-economic targets for 2026.

The dialogue conference between provincial People's Committee leaders and young people provides a timely opportunity for discussion and exchange. On its development journey, Lam Dong needs all available resources, including the immense potential of its young people, whose aspirations and pioneering spirit are vital to helping the province achieve its socio-economic targets.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that after the merger, Lam Dong had faced numerous challenges. In just over 15 months, the province had worked to consolidate its administrative apparatus following the reorganization while devoting considerable efforts to achieving its GRDP growth target.

To date, Lam Dong has reason to be confident in the determination, efforts and achievements of the province, to which its young people have made highly creative contributions.
These achievements are reflected in the figures. The province's GRDP grew by 8.51% in the first nine months of 2026, up 2.09 percentage points from the same period in 2025. This was an impressive result, given the numerous difficulties and challenges Lam Dong had to overcome.

These included severe staff shortages following the reorganization. Many policies from the Central Government and the province had to be implemented quickly, within tight deadlines and amid heavy workloads. In fact, many tasks were entirely new. Furthermore, natural disasters and severe flooding in late 2025 had caused extensive damage, forcing the province to allocate substantial resources to recovery efforts...
Currently, each locality has its own potential and advantages, as well as approaches to implementing socio-economic development tasks. What groundbreaking initiatives can Lam Dong's young people offer to work alongside provincial leaders in achieving the double-digit growth target?

The head of the Provincial People's Committee pointed out that Lam Dong currently has numerous stalled projects and projects facing difficulties, especially non-budget investment projects. Regarding public assets, including surplus buildings and land following the merger, the province is actively seeking ways to manage and utilize them effectively to prevent waste of state assets.

In addition, many construction and development projects across the province urgently require site clearance so work can begin and progress can be accelerated. National target programs, particularly the sustainable poverty reduction program, still face difficulties. Efforts to provide universal health examinations and free medical screenings in remote areas also face several challenges.

All of these challenges require Lam Dong to focus its efforts on removing obstacles and implementing solutions. In this process, young people need to propose groundbreaking initiatives and boldly pursue innovative startup models... With their aspirations and energy, they can work alongside the province to promote rapid and sustainable economic development.
Lam Dong currently has 134 Youth Union organizations under the Provincial Youth Union, 218 grassroots Youth Unions, and 4,658 Youth Union branches directly under the grassroots level. The province has a total of 621,708 young people.
Young people with lower secondary education account for 33.2%, or 206,122 individuals. Those with upper secondary education account for 42%, or 261,463 individuals. Those with intermediate-level vocational qualifications or higher account for 24.8%, or 154,123 individuals.
In recent years, agencies, localities, and units have strictly adhered to the plans and directives of the Provincial People's Committee, proactively developing and implementing measures for state management of youth affairs across the province.

The implementation of laws and policies concerning young people has achieved many encouraging results. Particular attention has been paid to policies and regulations supporting young people, especially in entrepreneurship and career development.
Programs and plans for youth development in Lam Dong province for the 2021–2030 period were issued on time to ensure that relevant tasks were implemented in accordance with the roadmap and schedule set by the Central Government.
