Children’s Painting Contest: Welcoming Da Lat Cherry Blossom Festival – Spring 2026
In response to the Da Lat Cherry Blossom Festival – Spring 2026, a children’s painting contest themed “Cherry Blossoms and Me – Da Lat” was held on the morning of January 10 at Xuan Huong Park, Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward.

The contest was one of the highlights in a series of creative activities aimed at promoting cultural values and celebrating the distinctive beauty of cherry blossoms - a signature symbol of spring in Da Lat.
At the same time, the event created an open artistic space where children and students could express their love for nature and their hometown through the language of painting.

Designed as an open-air art activity, the contest encouraged students to freely explore their creativity and convey personal emotions and perspectives on cherry blossoms—an image closely associated with Da Lat’s natural landscape, urban scenery, and everyday life.

Each brushstroke and color composition not only reflected the participants’ artistic skills but also conveyed their affection for their homeland and their emotional response to the beauty of spring in the land of cherry blossoms.

According to the organizing committee, this year’s contest attracted more than 60 contestants from 34 teams, representing 18 primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary schools across the locality. Participants created free-style paintings using acrylic paints, with a total working time of 180 minutes.

Amid the spring-filled park setting, many artworks gradually took shape, depicting cherry blossoms in full bloom by Xuan Huong Lake, along familiar streets, or through the childhood memories of the young artists.

Beyond being an artistic playground, the contest also contributed to enriching the cultural and creative activities within the framework of the Da Lat Cherry Blossom Festival – Spring 2026.
The contest results will be compiled and officially announced by the organizing committee in the coming days.
