They are Le Hoang Minh, a Vietnamese guitarist currently living and working in Australia, and Phan Xuan Tri, a well-known classical guitarist from Da Nang.
Alongside his teaching career, Le Hoang Minh has participated in numerous classical guitar competitions and concerts in Australia and internationally. Beyond his global performances, he is frequently invited to serve as a judge at prestigious international guitar competitions. He also regularly returns to Viet Nam to perform and engage with students at music academies in Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, and Da Nang. In 2025, he and Phan Xuan Tri successfully co-organized the second Da Nang International Guitar Festival 2025.
Phan Xuan Tri has been devoted to classical guitar since childhood. He graduated in classical guitar performance from the Hue Academy of Music in 2004 and later from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music in 2010. Throughout his career, he has studied with many world-renowned classical guitarists, performed extensively at concerts across Viet Nam and Southeast Asia, and founded and operated the Da Nang International Guitar Festival.
Sharing their excitement, the two artists said they had long hoped to perform in Da Lat, but this marked their first time playing music together here. According to Le Hoang Minh, Da Lat was chosen for its poetic beauty — a highland region long associated with poetry, music, and the arts, and a dream destination for many artists.
The concert took place in the spacious living room of a historic villa at Cadasa Resort, drawing around 100 classical music enthusiasts. In the intimate setting, Phan Xuan Tri presented a selection of iconic tango works, while Le Hoang Minh performed well-known masterpieces from the global classical guitar repertoire.
The evening also featured Nguyen Tuan Khiem, who served as the program’s narrator. With his in-depth musical knowledge, he introduced each composer and the creative context behind the works, helping the audience gain a deeper appreciation of classical guitar.
Reflecting on the experience, Le Hoang Minh said he returns to Viet Nam almost every year to perform and that this trip left him with particularly beautiful impressions of Da Lat. Phan Xuan Tri affirmed that they would “certainly return” to the highland region in the near future.
