The Da Lat – Mui Ne tour, as noted by the Da Lat – Lam Dong Travel Association, is not simply a tourism product but a “tourism economic corridor” designed to enhance the competitiveness of Lam Dong’s tourism offerings.

Lam Dong tourism sector is entering a new era of dynamic growth and transformation, bolstered by favorable conditions that accelerate its growth and strengthen its position on the international tourism map. The seamless harmony between vast highlands and blue seas represents a distinctive resource advantage for Lam Dong tourism, derived from the province’s geographical position following administrative integration.

However, the Da Lat – Lam Dong Travel Association believes that new approaches are required to create stronger momentum for tourism development in the coming period. According to Mr. Le Tang Trong Nghia, Vice Chairman of the Travel Association, the key catalysts for attracting visitors include enhancing inter-destination connectivity, optimizing experiences through digital transformation, leveraging local strengths, and ensuring the simultaneous development of infrastructure, products, and human resources.

According to Mr. Nghia, Lam Dong should prioritize connecting aviation infrastructure by supporting airlines in opening new direct routes to the province in order to shorten travel time and extend the duration of stay. Furthermore, South Korea, Thailand, and Japan are identified as key markets for promoting charter flights and commercial routes to attract tourists from these countries to Lam Dong.

In addition, the province should proactively connect transport infrastructure with Long Thanh Airport ahead of its operation to capture future tourist flows. Another factor in enhancing Lam Dong tourism competitiveness is the development of big data systems covering destinations, pricing, services, and real visitor reviews, enabling personalized travel experiences and more effective access to target markets.

Furthermore, based on these data-driven insights, the sector can decode visitor habits to craft tailor-made promotional campaigns that resonate with specific international target audiences. The integration of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence further strengthens digital connectivity, refines market segmentation, and empowers the compelling storytelling of cultural, heritage, and natural narratives across multiple languages.

Dang Ngoc Hai, an international tour operator, noted that big data systems should integrate comprehensive services, including ticket booking, accommodation, tours, maps, reviews, and expanded digital payment systems across multiple platforms, along with automatic translation technologies to improve the experience of international visitors. Digital transformation in tourism represents a shift in mindset across product design, promotion, and interregional linkage.

Sharing this view, Mr. Nghia emphasized that Lam Dong tourism requires coordinated support from relevant departments and local authorities to establish a unified tourism data platform connected with the national system, while also investing in digital skills training for officials, businesses, tour operators, and local communities that own tourism resources. Only by creating an integrated tourism ecosystem, starting with data connectivity between Da Lat and Mui Ne, can the competitiveness of tourism products in both destinations be truly enhanced.
