Da Lat Cherry Blossom Festival to Open on January 16th
The Da Lat Cherry Blossom Festival – Spring 2026, themed “Da Lat Cherry Blossoms – A Convergence of Spring Colors,” will officially open on January 16 at Lam Vien Square (Xuan Huong -Da Lat Ward, Lam Dong Province).
The festival marks the start of a series of distinctive cultural and tourism activities during the Year of the Horse 2026.

The festival is organized by the Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward People’s Committee under the direction of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, in celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the traditional “Celebration of the Party and the Spring,” and in anticipation of the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026.
The event is expected to serve as a key promotional highlight, showcasing the people, culture, and distinctive beauty of Da Lat through cherry blossoms—regarded as the “spring ambassadors” of the Lam Vien Plateau.

According to the Organizing Committee, the festival aims to increase domestic and international tourist arrivals by approximately 30%, while boosting revenue from accommodation, dining, and travel services during the Lunar New Year compared to the same period in 2025.
Festival activities will take place around Xuan Huong Lake and along several central streets, creating convenient spaces for visitors to participate and enjoy the experience.

In addition to the semi-open-air artistic opening ceremony featuring music, fashion and modern stage technology, the festival will host various activities, including a tree-planting program titled “A Brilliant Da Lat Spring with Cherry Blossoms,” the launch of a cherry blossom viewing map, creative art programs inspired by cherry blossoms, and hands-on experiences for visitors from January 16th to 25th, 2026.

The Organizing Committee noted that the opening ceremony stage, inspired by the Cau Dat cherry blossom forest, will be retained throughout the festival season, serving as a spring floral space for residents and visitors to tour and take photos. The initiative aims to further spread the image of Da Lat as a gentle, elegant, and welcoming destination at the beginning of the new year.
