A series of activities in response to the 11th Da Lat – Lam Dong Flower Festival will take place throughout the year, with a highlight being the New Year’s Eve artistic program combined with the festival’s closing ceremony, scheduled for the evening of December 31, 2026.
The 2026 festival is expected to include eight main programs, namely: the launch of the campaign “Every person plants flowers, every home grows flowers and greenery to welcome the 11th Da Lat – Lam Dong Flower Festival”; opening and closing ceremonies; development of floral landscapes around Xuan Huong Lake; an international flower and ornamental plant exhibition; a scientific seminar on sustainable development of the flower value chain; a carnival featuring bands and modern dance groups; a wine street; and the 2027 New Year artistic program.
From April 1, 2026 to January 5, 2027, the festival framework will include 15 main programs and 35 supporting activities.

Broad community engagement encouraged
Lam Dong Province encourages departments, agencies, mass organizations, localities, businesses, organizations, and individuals to register for participation in response activities through specific programs and events, submitted via the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism no later than June 30, 2026, to ensure effective organization and promotion.
The event is expected to serve as a major cultural and tourism festival, promoting the image of Da Lat and the new Lam Dong to both domestic and international visitors.
To celebrate the 2026 festival, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the launch of the campaign titled “Every person plants flowers, every home grows flowers and greenery to welcome the Da Lat – Lam Dong Flower Festival 2026.”

The campaign is set to begin immediately, led by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, with participation from local authorities, the Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company, the Da Lat Flower Association, as well as agencies, businesses, organizations, and households.
Key activities include creating vibrant, eco-friendly floral landscapes; launching movements such as “Flower Streets,” “Flower Alleys,” “Green Schools,” and “Green – Clean – Beautiful Offices”; and organizing contests including “Beautiful Houses – Lovely Gardens for the Festival,” “Blooming Neighborhoods,” and “Community Flower Gardens – Colors of Lam Dong.”
Comprehensive renewal in festival organization
Highlighting the importance of the event, Ho Van Muoi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized the need for comprehensive innovation in festival organization.
The goal is to foster pride and responsibility among residents and businesses in preserving and enhancing the urban landscape, thereby gradually building a “year-round flower festival” and elevating Da Lat – Lam Dong’s brand as a “city of flowers.”
The festival will extend beyond Lam Vien Square, reaching residential areas and streets, aiming for a vision where “every home has flowers, every street is lined with flowers.”

Strengthening linkages to enhance attractiveness
Chairman Ho Van Muoi called for stronger connections with other provinces and cities to participate in flower exhibitions at the 2026 festival.
He also stressed the need for well-coordinated scheduling and spatial planning of festival activities to ensure cohesion, avoid overlaps, and create an engaging, high-impact series of events.
The festival will be organized at the provincial level, with the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee serving as head of the Steering Committee; the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the standing body; and the Vice Chairman in charge of culture serving as deputy head and head of the Organizing Committee.
Local authorities in wards including Xuan Huong – Da Lat, Lam Vien – Da Lat, Cam Ly – Da Lat, Xuan Truong – Da Lat, and Lang Biang – Da Lat have been tasked with urgently reviewing and implementing urban beautification plans.
These include developing themed flower streets, enhancing greenery, installing artistic lighting systems, and arranging flower beds and decorative spaces in public areas, offices, and residential zones to create a vibrant and attractive festival atmosphere.
Developing Prenn Pass as a cherry blossom-themed gateway
For the Prenn Pass landscape, the Chairman assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with relevant agencies to mobilize sponsorship for planting and maintaining cherry blossom trees along the entire route from Prenn Waterfall Tourist Area to Datanla Waterfall Tourist Area.
This initiative aims to transform the main gateway to Da Lat into a cherry blossom-themed scenic route.
At the same time, the province will work with relevant agencies and localities to select 30 to 50 central streets in Da Lat for urban upgrading consultation, following the orientation of “bright – green – clean – beautiful.”
