Da Lat – Lam Dong Flower Festival 2026 to Feature Diverse Cultural and Tourism Activities

Authorities in Lam Dong Province are planning a wide range of cultural and tourism activities for the 11th Da Lat – Lam Dong Flower Festival 2026, aiming to enhance the event’s international appeal and further promote Da Lat as a UNESCO Creative City of Music.

At a meeting on March 6, Dinh Van Tuan, member of the provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a working session with provincial departments, agencies and local authorities to review and provide feedback on the draft plan for organizing the festival.

According to the draft plan, the 11th Da Lat – Lam Dong Flower Festival will be a national and international cultural–tourism event held across Lam Dong Province. The festival is expected to showcase the region’s culture, people and tourism potential to both domestic and international visitors.

Organizers have proposed five possible themes for the festival, including:
“Da Lat Flowers – Connecting Emotions”
“Da Lat Flowers – Where Excellence Converges”
“Da Lat Flowers – The Harmony of Flowers and Music”
“Da Lat – Flowers, Love and Music”
“Da Lat – The Meeting Point of Flowers and Music”

Festival-related activities will be organized throughout the year, while the main celebration is expected to take place in late December 2026.

The festival is expected to feature eight major programs, including:

  • Launching the campaign “Everyone grows flowers, every home grows flowers and greenery” in celebration of the festival
  • Opening and closing ceremonies
  • Flower landscape installations around Xuan Huong Lake
  • An international exhibition of flowers and ornamental plants
  • A scientific conference on sustainable development of the flower value chain
  • A carnival featuring bands and modern dance groups
  • A wine street showcasing regional products
  • A New Year’s Eve artistic program welcoming 2027

Participants at the meeting largely agreed with the main contents of the draft plan while also proposing ideas on festival venues, province-wide activities, promotional strategies and measures to ensure security and public order.

These contributions aim to further strengthen the brand of the Da Lat Flower Festival, attracting more visitors and offering richer cultural experiences for both residents and tourists.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Dinh Van Tuan acknowledged the efforts and responsibility of departments, sectors and localities involved in the preparations. He assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to incorporate the feedback and finalize the plan, ensuring that cultural, entertainment and tourism activities during the festival are diverse and engaging.

Local agencies were also asked to proactively prepare the necessary conditions to ensure the event leaves a strong impression as a signature festival of the “land of a thousand flowers.”

Provincial leaders also emphasized expanding public–private partnerships in organizing festival programs, encouraging tourism enterprises to participate more actively to improve the overall effectiveness of the event.

According to the proposal, the 11th Da Lat – Lam Dong Flower Festival 2026 is scheduled to take place from December 12 to December 31, 2026, extending more than a week beyond the initial draft timeline.
