Deputy Prime Minister Phan Van Giang Pays Tribute at Dak Nong Martyrs’ Cemetery
On the afternoon of July 25, ahead of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947–2026), a central government delegation led by General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, laid flowers and offered incense in tribute to heroic martyrs at the Dak Nong Martyrs’ Cemetery in Lam Dong Province.
Attending the memorial ceremony were Lieutenant General Le Xuan The, Member of the Party Central Committee and Commander of Military Region 7; Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Van Muoi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Dang Hong Sy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; and Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Also attending were leaders of central ministries and agencies; members of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People’s Council, Provincial People’s Committee and provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and representatives of provincial departments, agencies and localities.
In a solemn and reverent atmosphere, Deputy Prime Minister Phan Van Giang and other delegates laid flowers and offered incense in tribute to heroic martyrs. The delegation also observed a moment of silence to commemorate and express gratitude for the immense sacrifices of those who fought bravely and gave their lives for national liberation.
Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, Deputy Prime Minister Phan Van Giang and other delegates pledged to continue upholding the nation’s revolutionary traditions, firmly safeguard the Fatherland’s independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and contribute to building a strong and prosperous nation while ensuring better and happier life for the people.
Following the incense-offering ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister and other senior officials visited the graves of fallen heroes, where they offered incense to express their profound gratitude to previous generations.
The memorial ceremony at the Dak Nong Martyrs’ Cemetery was a meaningful tribute that reflected Vietnam’s tradition of honoring those who sacrificed for the nation and expressing gratitude for their contributions. It also helped instill revolutionary traditions and patriotism in today’s generation.
