Accordingly, Lam Dong aims to promote the natural heritage values of the Lang Biang Biosphere Reserve through forest protection, biodiversity conservation, forest development, eco-tourism, scientific research, environmental communication and education, international cooperation, and climate change adaptation.

The plan is closely linked to ongoing programs on forest protection, biodiversity conservation, pollution prevention and control, waste management, capacity building, and community engagement in protecting and managing this global natural heritage site.

The specific goal is to safeguard the unique ecosystems and biodiversity of the Lang Biang Biosphere Reserve — an area of global, national, and provincial significance. The province seeks to prevent ecological imbalance and landscape degradation, maintain and restore forest ecosystem functions, reduce disaster risks, and strengthen climate resilience.

At the same time, Lam Dong will mobilize resources effectively and enhance cooperation among all stakeholders, minimizing negative impacts of socio-economic development on natural resources and biodiversity within the biosphere reserve. The province will also fulfill international commitments on environmental protection, forest conservation, and biodiversity, integrating nature conservation and environmental protection into planning processes to ensure harmony between conservation and sustainable development.
