Exports in 2026: Targeting Sustained Double-Digit Growth
Ahead of the new year, the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee issued a decision assigning socio-economic development targets for 2026. Under the plan, the province aims to achieve total merchandise export turnover of USD 3.59 billion this year.

Solid Results After the Merger
Concluding the first year after its administrative consolidation, Lam Dong recorded total export turnover of approximately USD 3.235 billion, exceeding the assigned target of USD 3.232 billion and marking an increase of nearly 15% compared to the previous year.

Key Export Drivers in 2026
Entering 2026, Lam Dong targets export turnover of USD 3.59 billion, equivalent to a 10.97% increase over 2025, thereby maintaining double-digit growth.

In addition to durian and dragon fruit, Lam Dong also holds significant potential in avocado exports. A company established in 2024 in Nam Ban Lam Ha Commune reported supplying around 4,000 tons of fresh avocados and 200 tons of frozen avocados annually. Of this volume, 70% is exported, mainly to Cambodia and Thailand (fresh avocados) and Libya (frozen avocados).
Expanding Markets, Strengthening Support
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, Lam Dong’s products are currently exported to 56 countries and territories, with around 200 enterprises participating in export activities.
In recent years, the sector has proactively implemented measures to support local businesses in expanding exports and improving economic efficiency. These include monitoring market developments—such as the United States’ application of a 20% reciprocal tariff—to promptly propose solutions and recommendations to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, helping enterprises overcome difficulties in production, trade, and import-export operations.
The department has also strengthened the provision of information on overseas trade promotion programs, international trade fairs, and sector-specific market updates. This practical support enables enterprises to better access information and focus on exporting Lam Dong’s key products to major and high-potential markets.
Leveraging FTAs for Sustainable Growth
To achieve the 2026 export target, Lam Dong and relevant agencies will continue implementing synchronized measures to promote exports, particularly high-value products and commodities where the province holds competitive advantages.
At the same time, the province will coordinate with Vietnamese Trade Offices abroad to facilitate business matchmaking and promote local brands internationally. Enterprises will be further supported in effectively leveraging free trade agreements (FTAs) that Vietnam has signed.
Special emphasis will be placed on implementing next-generation FTAs, including:
- CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership),
- EVFTA (EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement),
- UKVFTA (Vietnam–UK Free Trade Agreement),
- RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership).
These efforts aim to make Lam Dong’s import-export activities more balanced, while ensuring stable and long-term market development.
