The event was held to mark the 67th anniversary of the Fisheries Sector’s Traditional Day (April 1, 1959 – April 1, 2026).

Addressing the ceremony, Nguyen Van Chien, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Environment, said that in recent years, the Party and the State have issued numerous policies to support the fisheries sector and steer it toward stable, sustainable development. As a result, the sector has become an important contributor to the country’s socio-economic growth.

These species, selected for their high economic value and suitability to local habitats, are expected to help replenish aquatic resources and restore ecological balance in the waters.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment called on agencies, organizations, and mass associations to continue promoting their roles and responsibilities in disseminating legal regulations on the conservation, protection, and regeneration of aquatic resources.

At the same time, the Department expressed its hope that agencies, businesses, fisheries associations, and benefactors would continue to accompany and support the sector, helping expand and strengthen resource-restocking activities and enhance their broader impact across society.

According to local authorities in Vinh Hao Commune, the release of more than 1.1 million fingerlings—including giant tiger shrimp, marine fish, and spotted babylon snails—will not only help replenish natural stocks but also support sustainable and responsible fisheries development.

Accordingly, the commune will step up communication efforts among fishermen and direct relevant agencies and organizations to closely coordinate in implementing measures to protect the released stocks, thereby ensuring optimal conditions for their growth.
