The yellow osaka tree, commonly referred to as the golden shower tree or cassia fistula, is native to South Asia. Since this species flourishes in sunny conditions and is resilient to drought, it has been cultivated in many areas of the Central Highlands.
In the Gia Nghia area, yellow osaka trees were planted around 7–8 years ago along major roads, parks, and public spaces
For many years, the Gia Nghia region (previously Gia Nghia City) has been recognized as the “Golden Flower Town” because of its constant blooming flower seasons throughout the year.
Clusters of golden osaka blossoms stretch along hillsides and urban streets The flower is distinguished by its heavy hanging clusters, with drooping blossoms reaching nearly 40 cm in length and carrying a gentle fragrance At the end of the dry season each year, osaka flowers bloom brilliantly, painting the streets yellow and creating a distinctive image of the Gia Nghia area
Alongside wild sunflowers and yellow flamboyant flowers, golden shower trees are widely planted here. Different flower species bloom in succession, coloring the mountain town in shades of yellow and creating a peaceful, poetic, and charming landscape.
Gia Nghia has long been called the “Golden Flower Town” thanks to its continuous flower seasons throughout the year When osaka trees shed all their leaves, leaving only bare branches, the blossoms begin to appear.
