With a natural area of over 168 km² and a population of more than 36,000, Xuan Truong - Da Lat Ward is one of the province’s largest wards, boasting significant potential for high-tech agriculture, agritourism, and green urban development. The locality has identified three strategic pillars: green service urban development, ecological tourism, and high-tech agriculture. These pillars leverage the ward’s rich natural resources, fertile soil, ideal elevation, cool climate, diverse ecosystems, and hardworking, creative workforce.
Strengths in High-Tech Agriculture
Xuan Truong - Da Lat stands out for its application of high-tech agricultural practices and is home to signature products such as Arabica coffee, Oolong tea, artichokes, vegetables, flowers, wind-hung roses, and strawberries. Notably, the Cau Dat area is recognized as one of the seven best regions globally for Arabica coffee, while Lam Dong ranks second in the world for coffee export volume, primarily Robusta.
In addition, it has become a center for high-quality tea production, serving both domestic and export markets, further enhancing the value of local agricultural products.
Ecotourism and Agritourism
The ward is a prime destination for cloud hunting, exploring the Cầu Đất tea hills, and engaging in agritourism at high-tech vegetable, flower, and wind-hung rose farms. Particularly, Xuan Truong - Da Lat promotes renewable energy development with its Xuân Trường 1 and 2 wind power projects, aligning with the province’s green and circular development orientation.

Strategy for 2025 – 2026
During this period, the ward focuses on two key priorities: completing comprehensive planning and investing in essential infrastructure.
Planning: Reviewing, updating, and finalizing the ward’s planning maps, clearly delineating functional zones such as high-tech agricultural areas, agritourism zones, urban residential areas, and landscape buffers. Simultaneously, reassessing key crops like Arabica coffee, tea, wind-hung roses, vegetables, and flowers to promote deeper investment, brand building, and fulfillment of domestic and export demand.
Infrastructure: Upgrading transportation systems, particularly roads connecting production and tourism areas with the urban center. Reviewing electricity, water, and internet networks, coordinating with VNPT and Viettel to achieve full coverage, supporting digital transformation and e-commerce development in agriculture and tourism.
Developing High-Quality Human Resources
The locality emphasizes training and enhancing workforce quality, especially in high-tech agriculture and community-based tourism. Support policies for startups, access to preferential loans, and technology transfer are implemented comprehensively, encouraging residents to innovate production methods, apply technology, and link in value chains.
From its heroic past, Xuan Truong - Da Lat today is undergoing a remarkable transformation, becoming a model of harmonious development between high-tech agriculture, agritourism, and smart green urbanization. With clear direction, community solidarity, and coordinated action from the political system, Xuan Truong - Da Lat continues to rise, asserting its position as one of Lam Dong’s most dynamic and pioneering localities in the new era.
