In recent years, tourism operators across southeastern Lam Dong have introduced a range of experiences inspired by local culture and daily life, attracting both domestic and international visitors. Popular attractions include the ancient Po Sah Inu Towers, the Lang Chai Xua Fish Sauce Museum, Fairy Stream, Mui Ne Fishing Village, the white sand dunes of Bau Trang, and the century-old Ke Ga Lighthouse. Seasonal dragon fruit orchards, especially during flowering and harvest periods, have also become popular draws for visitors.

According to Pham Thi Hong Phuong, senior adviser at the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, southeastern Lam Dong possesses significant potential for eco-cultural tourism, supported by distinctive local products such as dragon fruit, Phan Thiet fish sauce, lau tha and one-sun-dried squid. She said stronger intellectual property protection, combined with digital technology and green tourism models, could help raise the value of local products, attract investment and support sustainable development.

Tran Giang Khue, head of the southern representative office of the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam, noted that protecting trademarks and other intellectual property assets can improve product quality control, strengthen brand reputation and support the growth of eco-tourism, farm tourism and traditional craft villages.

Experts believe intellectual property is becoming a key pillar of tourism innovation, supporting new models such as community-based tourism, craft village tourism and eco-tourism linked to local culture and OCOP products. Combined with digital transformation and modern branding strategies, it could help position southeastern Lam Dong as a distinctive destination with natural beauty, cultural identity and sustainable tourism offerings.
