International Workshop on “Singularity Theory and Algebraic Geometry” Held at Phan Thiet University

The workshop was jointly organized by Phan Thiet University in collaboration with the University of Science (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), Thang Long University, Dalat University, Tay Do University, and Nam Can Tho University.

The event aimed to promote international research collaboration in Singularity Theory and Algebraic Geometry, bringing together Vietnamese mathematicians and leading scholars from the United States, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, Brazil, China, and other countries.

Addressing the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Phi Ho, Party Secretary and Vice President of Phan Thiet University, emphasized that the event seeks to advance key research directions including singularity theory, non-Archimedean geometry, and model theory in Vietnam.

Through these efforts, the workshop contributes to the gradual formation and development of a strong domestic research group capable of deep integration into the international mathematics community.

In addition, the workshop serves as an important academic forum to strengthen research cooperation in Singularity Theory and Algebraic Geometry between Vietnamese and international mathematicians, thereby enhancing research quality and opening up long-term, sustainable collaboration among research groups.

Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Phi Ho further affirmed that the workshop offers a valuable opportunity for students and young mathematicians to engage directly in academic exchange with world-leading scholars. This interaction helps students progressively enhance research capacity, develop modern scientific thinking, and establish connections with prestigious mathematics education and research institutions both domestically and internationally.
