Joining forces to achieve “double-digit” growth
With the province’s “double-digit” growth target for 2026, many departments and sectors have proactively developed and implemented plans to help achieve it.

Proactive implementation of growth scenarios
To meet the “double-digit” growth target, Le Trong Yen, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, has instructed sectors and localities to define clear tasks and solutions to ensure the province achieves a high growth rate of 10% or more.
For the industrial sector, the province aims for growth of 12.39% to 13.72% in 2026, while prioritising the removal of obstacles to delayed solar and wind power projects. At the same time, promotional programmes will be implemented in various forms to boost exports, expand into emerging markets, and achieve an export turnover of US$3.59 billion. Trade promotion and consumer stimulus programmes will also be carried out to raise total retail sales and service revenue to VND 322.8 trillion.
According to Bien Tan Tai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, the sector will focus on four key pillars: industry, energy, domestic trade, and exports. In 2026, one of its priority tasks will be to remove bottlenecks for 20 renewable energy projects in the former provinces of Dak Nong and Binh Thuan, which have a combined investment of approximately VND 46.19 trillion and are expected to come into operation within the year.
In addition, efforts will be made to accelerate the expansion and capacity upgrades of Nhan Co and Tan Rai alumina plants (total investment of VND 59.97 trillion), as well as the Dak Nong aluminium electrolysis plant (investment of VND 18.42 trillion), to speed up implementation and bring them into operation sooner. Businesses will also be encouraged to take advantage of opportunities from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to boost exports, including promoting new products in markets such as Africa.
Aligned with local realities
In the tourism sector, a detailed plan has been developed to serve tens of millions of visitors, including strategies tailored to the temporary closure of Lien Khuong International Airport for upgrades. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to place Lam Dong among the top five localities nationwide in visitor numbers, with targets of over 25 million arrivals, including 1.58 million international visitors, and tourism revenue of approximately VND 71.5 trillion.
To contribute to the “double-digit” growth goal, tourism promotion will be carried out through thematic programmes introducing new and distinctive products alongside hands-on experiences. Planned promotional events include those in Khanh Hoa (March), Ho Chi Minh City (April or August), Can Tho (May), and Hanoi (July).
At the same time, the province will expand into potential international markets such as Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East, while strengthening intra-regional tourism.
High-value tourism segments will also be prioritised, including eco-resort tourism, coastal tourism, adventure sports, high-tech agricultural tourism, heritage and cultural tourism, wellness tourism, MICE+ tourism, and the night-time economy. The key direction is to shift towards self-drive and short-haul markets, enhance inter-regional tourism linkages, launch province-wide tourism stimulus programmes, and improve service quality and visitor experiences.
The construction sector has also outlined tasks aligned with local conditions to contribute to the province’s “double-digit” growth target for the 2026–2030 period. Priority will be given to accelerating major transport infrastructure projects such as the Tan Phu – Bao Loc Expressway, Bao Loc – Lien Khuong Expressway, and Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh Expressway.
Other key projects include the upgrading of national highways No. 28, 27, and 55, coastal roads and urban bypasses, as well as the operation of Phan Thiet Airport (civil aviation component). The province will also continue to attract investment in strategic expressways such as Phan Thiet – Gia Nghia and Nha Trang – Da Lat.
