Joining Hands to Build a Bright, Green, Clean and Beautiful Mui Ne
From protecting the marine environment to maintaining security and public order, residents of Mui Ne Ward are playing an active role in building a civilized and welcoming urban area for both locals and visitors.

Preserving the Destination’s Image
Mui Ne Ward is a coastal area with significant potential for tourism, services, and the marine economy. Following the merger of Mui Ne Ward, Ham Tien Ward, and Thien Nghiep Commune, Mui Ne Ward now consists of 26 residential neighborhoods, 158 self-regulating community groups, and over 11,700 households, with an approximate population of 45,900.
The expansion of tourism has provided numerous opportunities while also imposing greater pressure on urban management, environmental protection, security, and public order.
In Mui Ne, each street, neighborhood, and pristine beach not only benefits local residents but also enhances the reputation of the area as an appealing tourist spot.
This was clearly shown through a beach cleanup effort organized by the Mui Ne Ward People's Committee on September 19, following the arrival of significant amounts of marine debris that impacted the cleanliness and visual appeal of the area.
Hundreds of border guards, militia members, local residents, and tourists participated in the cleanup. Residents from Phan Thiet and Phu Thuy wards also volunteered to assist.
Building a civilized urban area must begin with public awareness. The authorities and relevant forces have a role to play in organizing activities, raising awareness and conducting inspections, but turning regulations into part of everyday life requires the voluntary participation of every household and the consensus of the entire community.

The initiative not only removed the build-up of waste but also fostered a sense of community spirit. Adults and children worked together to collect bags of trash along the beach, showing that caring for the environment is not solely the duty of authorities or any one group, but requires the involvement of the entire community.
Thanks to these joint efforts, Mui Ne Beach was cleaned up in just two days.
Tran Quoc Tuan, Secretary of the Party Cell of Residential Quarter 8 in Mui Ne, mentioned that marine debris frequently washes up during the southwest monsoon season, which lasts from June to October. Local residents typically hold weekend cleanup events, but the amount of waste tends to be especially high during this time.
According to Tuan, beach cleanups need to be carried out regularly while public awareness must also be raised to reduce waste generated both on land and at sea.
“When everyone takes responsibility for the environment in which they live, protecting the landscape will become a daily habit, helping preserve the image of Mui Ne as an attractive seaside destination,” he said.

Community Strength from Every Neighborhood
Alongside their efforts to safeguard the environment, the residents of Mui Ne are also actively involved in upholding security and public order at the grassroots level.
Currently, there are 158 self-managed neighborhood groups and mediation teams functioning throughout all 26 residential areas. The Vietnam Fatherland Front, along with socio-political organizations, is actively motivating their members and local residents to contribute to maintaining security and fostering a healthy cultural environment.
With robust community engagement, the “All People Protecting National Security” initiative continues to gain traction. Since the start of the year, residents have provided over 50 valuable pieces of information, aiding authorities in investigating and revealing more than 20 cases pertaining to security and public order.
In 2026, all 26 residential areas, eight agencies, and four educational institutions within the ward registered to meet the “Security and Public Order” standards. The ward is dedicated to preventing activities that threaten national unity and ensuring that there are no crime or social vice hotspots, in line with the law.
Through tangible actions in every neighborhood, community strength is becoming a cornerstone for creating a civilized, secure, and welcoming Mui Ne.
When each resident takes responsibility for preserving the environment, maintaining security and public order, and promoting a positive cultural lifestyle, the urban scenery improves not just along the streets and in neighborhoods, but also through the shared responsibility of the community.
