Journalists Association of Korea Visits Lam Dong

The Journalists Association of Korea visited Lam Dong to strengthen media cooperation, share professional experience and promote friendship between Vietnam and South Korea.

On the afternoon of September 8, the Lam Dong Journalists Association welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from the Journalists Association of Korea during its visit to Lam Dong.

The Korean delegation was led by Park Jong Hyun, Chairman of the Journalists Association of Korea.

The Lam Dong delegation was led by journalist Le Huy Toan, Member of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Director of Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television, and Chairman of the Lam Dong Journalists Association, along with leaders and members of the association.

Welcoming the delegation, Chairman of the Lam Dong Journalists Association Le Huy Toan expressed his pleasure at receiving representatives of the Korean Journalists Association in Lam Dong.

He emphasized that, within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and South Korea, journalism and media play an important role in strengthening connections and promoting greater understanding of both countries, their people and development achievements.

Introducing the Lam Dong Journalists Association, its leaders said the association was established in 1987. Following the merger of the journalists associations of the former Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces, the organization now represents more than 450 members working at press agencies across the province.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed journalistic activities, association work and experiences in developing modern journalism.

The Lam Dong Journalists Association proposed strengthening annual exchanges with the Korean Journalists Association and organizing professional exchanges and knowledge-sharing programs.

The two sides also discussed potential cooperation in producing thematic content on tourism, investment, trade and culture, helping promote the image of Lam Dong and Vietnam to Korean audiences.

The visit and working session are expected to strengthen ties between journalists in South Korea and Lam Dong, promote people-to-people exchanges and contribute to deeper and more effective friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.

On the occasion, delegates from the Korean Journalists Association and the Lam Dong Journalists Association paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Viettel Lam Dong building.

In a solemn atmosphere, members of the delegation expressed their deep respect and admiration for President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the Vietnamese people and a figure who laid the foundations for friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and international friends.
