Lam Dong Accelerates 90-Day Campaign to Standardize Medical Examination and Treatment Data
The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee recently issued a directive urging the Department of Health and relevant agencies and localities to vigorously implement the “90-Day Campaign to Clean, Enrich and Standardize Medical Examination and Treatment Data” across the province.
In line with the directive from the Provincial People’s Committee, the initiative seeks to fulfill all requirements and timelines established by the central government and the Ministry of Health, ensuring the operational and effective use of the licensed medical practitioners' database starting January 1, 2027. The data entered into the National Management System must adhere strictly to the principles of being “accurate, complete, clean, up-to-date, consistent, and shared.”
The Provincial People’s Committee has instructed the Department of Health to ensure that all inpatient healthcare facilities in the province, with the exception of those managed by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense, enter their data and submit reports via the Medical Examination and Treatment Information Portal by September 15, 2026. Facilities are required to accurately and comprehensively report actual details, including the total number of hospital beds, the area of the facility, and its name.
The Ministry of Health plans to use this database to monitor and evaluate operational conditions as well as determine inpatient bed capacity. Healthcare facilities that do not comply or postpone data entry beyond the specified deadline will be held fully accountable for any resulting legal consequences, including the risk of non-reimbursement for medical examination and treatment costs covered by health insurance.
The Provincial People’s Committee also assigned the Department of Health to strengthen inspections and supervision, promptly rectify shortcomings and strictly handle cases of delays or poor-quality data entry. If difficulties or obstacles arise, agencies and units must immediately report them to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Administration under the Ministry of Health or advise the Provincial People’s Committee for timely resolution.
