Strong Performance Across All Key Indicators
In 2025, the Lam Dong health sector carried out successfully its tasks while simultaneously restructuring and streamlining its organizational apparatus. As a result, the sector achieved and exceeded all 12 planned indicators.
Several key indicators recorded outstanding progress, including a higher number of doctors per 10,000 residents, an increased proportion of communes meeting national healthcare criteria, improved child immunization rates, a greater share of residents with managed health records, and continued significant reductions in maternal and child mortality. Together, these results reflect the sector’s sustained efforts to strengthen grassroots healthcare, expand preventive services, and enhance overall public health outcomes.

Advanced techniques continued to be deployed at provincial and regional hospitals, helping reduce patient transfers and improving treatment quality.
Efforts in disease prevention and control, expanded immunization programs, non-communicable disease management, and maternal and child healthcare were implemented proactively and effectively, contributing to better community health outcomes.
The pharmaceutical sector ensured adequate supplies of medicines and medical equipment, meeting healthcare needs even during outbreaks and natural disasters.

2026: Focus on Breakthrough Solutions and Digital Transformation
In 2026, the Lam Dong health sector will prioritize breakthrough solutions to strengthen healthcare protection, services, and overall public health.
The sector will improve the quality of medical examinations and treatment, expand specialized techniques, and accelerate digital transformation in healthcare, alongside administrative reform, financial management, and efficient resource allocation. Enhancing the quality of the medical workforce remains a central goal.
In 2026, the Lam Dong health sector aims to sustain population growth at around 1%, while improving service capacity through a higher ratio of medical personnel and hospital beds. The province targets reaching 7.7 doctors per 10,000 residents and 23.4 hospital beds per 10,000 residents, reflecting its commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare and strengthening the overall effectiveness of medical services across the region.

Vice Chairman Dinh Van Tuan commended the sector for its achievements and urged continued focus on key tasks for 2026. He emphasized the importance of implementing resolutions of the Central Government and the province on protecting, caring for, and improving public health.
He requested the sector to continue streamlining its organizational structure; enhance human resource quality and medical services; and promote digital transformation and the application of information technology in management, operations, and service delivery.
