Lam Dong Athletes Win 15 Medals at National and International Competitions
Athletes from Lam Dong Province claimed 15 medals at national and international competitions in March 2026, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
During the month, Lam Dong sent 38 athletes to compete in four major tournaments.
At the 2nd National Beach Kurash Championships 2026, held from February 28 to March 9 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Lam Dong team claimed 7 medals, including 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze.
At the National Beach Wrestling Championships 2026, staged from March 5 to 15 in Hai Phong, the province added 6 medals:
- 1 gold (55kg category)
- 3 silver (40kg, 45kg, 85kg)
- 2 bronze (38kg, 65kg)
In chess, Lam Dong earned 1 bronze medal at the National Chess Championship 2026 – COOLMATE Cup, held in Bac Ninh, thanks to athlete Nguyen Huu Hoang Anh.
Lam Dong athletes also made their mark internationally at the US Open Taekwondo Championships 2026, held on March 9 in Las Vegas.
Athlete Tran Ho Nhan Van won a silver medal in the men’s youth sparring event (over 78kg category), highlighting the province’s growing presence on the global stage.

In 2026, Lam Dong has 20 athletes selected for the national and national youth teams, including six in the national team and 14 in the youth squad.
