Lam Dong Athletes Win 757 Medals at National, Regional and International Competitions in 2025
Lam Dong Province athletes secured a total of 757 medals at national, regional and international sporting events in 2025, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

By the end of November 2025, the province had sent approximately 1,200 athletes to compete in 136 tournaments across Vietnam and abroad. Over the same period, Lam Dong maintained training for 723 athletes in 21 sports disciplines, including 317 promising young athletes, 156 junior athletes and 259 senior team athletes.
Thirty-one Lam Dong athletes have also been called up to Vietnam’s national and youth national teams, comprising 12 senior national team members and 19 youth athletes.

Of the 757 medals earned in 2025, Lam Dong athletes claimed 191 gold, 206 silver, and 360 bronze medals. Impressively, 47 of these were won at international competitions, including 14 gold, 19 silver, and 14 bronze medals.
Notable highlights include strong performances at key regional and continental events:
- At the Southeast Asian Judo and Youth Championships in July 2025, Lam Dong athletes won three silver and one bronze medal.
- At the 2025 Asian Youth and Junior Taekwondo Championships, they secured two silver medals.
- At the Southeast Asian Youth Taekwondo Championships in August 2025, athletes claimed six gold, three silver, and three bronze medals.
- At the Asian and Southeast Asian Bodybuilding Championships in August 2025, they added two silver and one bronze medal.
These achievements underscore Lam Dong’s growing contribution to Vietnam’s sporting success both domestically and internationally.
