As part of the International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC) 2026, the Lam Dong Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism on August 25–26 to host a Famtrip program for representatives of international travel businesses to survey local products, services and destinations.

The program focused on showcasing the potential and distinctive tourism offerings of Lam Dong while strengthening connections with key international markets, particularly Russia.

The delegation comprised buyers who are executive leaders and managers from Russian tourism and travel companies. Participants surveyed and experienced a wide range of products, services, and attractions across Phan Thiet, Mui Ne, and neighboring areas.

According to the itinerary, the delegation examined travel services at NovaWorld Phan Thiet alongside various lodging and commercial facilities. They also visited the Po Sah Inu Cham Towers to explore the historical and cultural heritage of the Cham ethnic community and assess opportunities to leverage these assets for tourism development.

Furthermore, the group traveled along the Mui Ne – Hoa Thang coastal route, inspected offerings at the Bau Trang U&ME attraction, toured the Wine Castle, and surveyed regional hospitality services. Throughout the trip, delegates stayed at local accommodations, networked with tourism businesses and exchanged industry insights.

The Famtrip delegation highly appreciates the service quality and infrastructure in Tien Thanh and Mui Ne.

Based on their field evaluations, delegation members commended the diversity of local tourism products, particularly those integrated with natural landscapes, culture, architecture, and hands-on experiences.

Iurina Irina, representing Russian Express, noted that transportation infrastructure, general facilities, and accommodation options in Mui Ne and the broader region have expanded significantly in recent years. She highlighted Mui Ne as a favored destination for Russian tourists due to its health-conducive, mild climate and high-quality service network.

On this return visit, her company aims to identify new products to better satisfy growing traveler demand, establish linked tour routes, and expand the pipeline for bringing international visitors to the area.

Nguyen Linh Vu, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center, stated that hosting survey programs for international travel firms is a practical initiative to promote destinations, introduce products, and expand market outreach.

Through the survey trip, members of the Famtrip delegation will continue to develop tour packages tailored to the demands and preferences of diverse customer segments.

“Looking ahead, alongside the Russian market, Lam Dong will continue pushing tourism promotion and strengthening ties with travel enterprises in other key markets, including South Korea, Singapore, India, and the Nordic region,” Vu said.

Expanding its reach in international markets is expected to help diversify the stream of foreign arrivals to the province.

With a unique ecosystem spanning dense forests, high plateaus, and coastal waters, the area is well-positioned to develop seamless, distinctive travel itineraries that appeal to international visitors.

Mui Ne specifically—long branded as a resort capital—continues to attract global tourists with its beach retreats and water sports offerings.

The international Famtrip program provides local tourism vendors with an opportunity to showcase offerings, forge connections, and expand partnerships with global counterparts. It also allows local businesses to gain firsthand insights into partner needs, enabling better preparation for the upcoming winter travel season for international tourists.
