On the afternoon of April 12, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi visited several units and inspected several projects in Phu Quy Special Zone.

The delegation surveyed several key locations, including the Phu Quy Special Zone storm shelter anchorage project and the Phu Quy Flagpole, visited the Phu Quy Port Border Guard Station, and reviewed the operations of several service enterprises in the area.

The Phu Quy Special Zone storm shelter anchorage project serves as a safe harbor for fishing vessels from the province and neighboring localities operating in the South Central fishing grounds, Truong Sa, and DK1 areas. The project has a total investment of VND 901 billion, with a capacity to accommodate 1,000 vessels of up to 600 CV.
The project is divided into two phases. To date, Phase 1 has been completed, while Phase 2 is under implementation with a total investment of VND 446 billion. Once operational, the project is expected to minimize losses of human life, assets, and fishing vessels, while helping safeguard national sovereignty at sea.

During the field survey, Chairman Ho Van Muoi was briefed on the project’s progress, acceptance procedures and construction-related difficulties. He then instructed relevant agencies and departments to help the investor complete the necessary procedures and soon put the project into operation.
