Lam Dong distributed nearly 1,300 lifebuoys for disaster prevention and control.
The Sub-department of Irrigation and Water Resources (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong Province) has just completed the provision of nearly 1,300 lifebuoys for 14 communes and wards, as well as the Provincial Fishing Port Management Board.

These are National Reserve equipment and supplies serving disaster prevention and rescue operations. They include 900 life jackets and 390 life buoys.
From December 27 to 29, localities receiving life jackets, life buoys from the National Reserve included: Phan Thiet, Phu Thuy, Ham Kiem, Ham Thuan, Tuyen Quang, Tuy Phong, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thanh, Tan Lap, Luong Son, Hong Son, Ham Thang, Ham Liem, and Cat Tien 2. Each locality received between 20 and 60 life jackets or life buoys, based on actual needs and local conditions.

The Sub-department of Irrigation and Water Resources has requested that local authorities and relevant units manage, store, and use supplies and equipment in accordance with regulations.
According to figures from the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, since the beginning of 2025, the province has recorded 38 episodes of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and whirlwinds, resulting in 17 deaths and 21 injuries.
In addition, floods damaged more than 20,000 homes. The total damage since the beginning of the year is estimated at approximately 1,840 billion VND.

The timely and proactive involvement of the provincial political system has helped minimize the loss of life and property from natural disasters.
