Lam Dong dragon fruit showcased at Fruit Logistica 2026 in Germany
Lam Dong Province’s dragon fruit was featured at Fruit Logistica 2026, which opened on February 4 in Berlin, Germany. Vietnam was among more than 90 participating countries presenting fresh fruit and vegetable products, highlighting the growing international presence of Vietnamese agricultural exports.
Fruit Logistica is recognized as one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the fresh produce industry, bringing together thousands of businesses, importers, distributors and logistics partners globally. The event offers a key platform for agricultural producers to introduce products, forge partnerships and expand distribution channels in European and international markets.

At this year’s event, the Vietnamese delegation—led by the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association—promoted a range of domestic fruits, including dragon fruit from Lam Dong Province presented by the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association (Lam Dong). The participation forms part of a broader strategy to diversify export markets and reduce reliance on traditional destinations.
According to the association, the dragon fruit sector previously depended heavily on the Chinese market. By 2025, exports to China had declined to about 62 percent of total shipments. The industry aims to reduce this share further to around 50 percent in 2026 while expanding into promising markets such as Europe, the Middle East and several developed economies.

Data from the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association show that Lam Dong currently has about 26,500 hectares of dragon fruit cultivation, producing approximately 613,000 tons annually. Participation in major international trade fairs such as Fruit Logistica is expected not only to strengthen brand recognition for Vietnamese dragon fruit but also to allow businesses to engage directly with importers and stay updated on evolving consumer trends and technical standards.
Through trade promotion and networking activities at Fruit Logistica 2026, the association and participating enterprises hope to secure new partnerships and export orders. The initiative represents a pivotal step toward boosting export growth and reinforcing the position of Vietnamese dragon fruit in the global market while moving toward more professional and sustainable production strategies.
