Lam Dong Election Council Chairman Inspects Polling Preparations in Border Commune
Provincial leaders conducted an inspection of election preparations in a remote border commune on March 7 as local authorities stepped up preparations for the upcoming national and local elections.
Mr. Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council and Chairman of the Provincial Election Commission, led a working delegation to inspect preparations for the election of deputies to the National Assembly of Vietnam (15th tenure) and members of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in Quang Truc Commune, a border locality.

During the visit, the delegation inspected several polling stations, including Polling Station No. 5 at Regiment 726, Polling Station No. 4 in Bu Dar village, and Polling Station No. 3 in Dak Huyt village.
According to local authorities, Quang Truc Commune has 12 polling stations serving more than 7,000 registered voters.

Local officials reported that preparations for the election are progressing as scheduled. Key tasks such as reviewing and compiling voter lists, preparing facilities, decorating polling stations and conducting public information campaigns are being implemented in accordance with national election regulations.

Following the field inspection, Chairman Luu Van Trung commended the proactive efforts of local Party committees and authorities in organizing election preparations.

He urged the commune to continue reviewing and updating voter lists to ensure they are complete and accurate, while strengthening public communication so that residents fully understand the importance and significance of the elections.

Local authorities were also instructed to develop detailed plans for election day, including arranging staff to guide voters through proper voting procedures, preparing adequate facilities at polling stations, and ensuring security and public order before, during and after the election.
