Lam Dong expects to Welcome over 25 Million Tourists

In 2026, Lam Dong Province aims to attract approximately 25.08 million tourist arrivals, with total tourism revenue estimated at VND 71.5 trillion.

On the morning of January 28, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee, chaired a conference to review tourism activities in 2025 and deploy some key tasks for 2026.

According to the report, in 2025, Lam Dong welcomed more than 20.76 million visitors, an increase of 18.1% compared to 2024, reaching 106.28% of the annual plan. Tourism revenue was estimated at approximately VND 56.8 trillion, up 24.52% year-on-year, fulfilling 100.23% of the target.

Currently, the province has over 4,200 tourist accommodation establishments with more than 66,800 rooms, along with over 120 travel agencies and nearly 100 tourist attractions and destinations serving visitors’ sightseeing and recreational needs.

Throughout the year, Lam Dong focused on diversifying and synchronizing tourism products and services, prioritizing key and high-potential segments such as resort tourism, ecotourism, community-based tourism, agricultural tourism, cultural and spiritual tourism, adventure sports, MICE tourism, geological tourism, island tourism, and wellness tourism.

The province has also emphasized the development of new tourism products and destinations, promoting community-based tourism linked with cultural preservation, integrating tourism with local economic development, promoting OCOP products, and advancing the nighttime economy.

Tourism promotion and marketing activities have continued to expand through strategic interregional cooperation and enhanced support for businesses exploring new markets. Lam Dong has developed various promotional materials, including documentaries, 3D/360-degree tourism maps, and the Heritage Guide, combined with communication on legal compliance, codes of conduct, and environmental protection in tourism.

Numerous large-scale cultural, sports, and tourism events were successfully organized, significantly contributing to attracting visitors to Lam Dong.

For 2026, Lam Dong aims to further accelerate tourism development, striving to reach 25.08 million visitors, with total tourism revenue estimated at VND 71.5 trillion, thereby enhancing the sector’s economic contribution and competitiveness.

In his directive speech, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan commended the proactive and responsible efforts of departments, sectors, and localities, which contributed to strong growth and positive transformation of Lam Dong’s tourism sector in 2025.

Looking ahead to 2026, the Vice Chairman urged members of the Tourism Development Steering Committee to strengthen coordination, proactively address challenges, and focus on building a sustainable Lam Dong tourism brand, improving both the quantity and quality of visitors.

He emphasized that sectors, local authorities, businesses, and tourism establishments should prioritize the development of distinctive, high-value tourism products closely linked to local cultural identity and environmental protection. Strengthening regional and value-chain linkages is essential to create competitive tourism routes and packages.

Additionally, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan called for accelerating digital transformation in tourism, expanding the application of technology in destination management, promotion, marketing, and business support, while placing strong emphasis on improving the quality of tourism human resources through skills training and the cultivation of professional, friendly service attitudes.
