Lam Dong FC Still Has a Chance to Earn Promotion
Lam Dong FC remains in contention for promotion to Vietnam's First Division despite losing to Hue in the 2026 Second Division Championship finals in Quy Nhon, Gia Lai Province, on June 13. The team can still secure promotion if it defeats Truong Giang Gia Dinh in the playoff match scheduled for June 16.

Tre Ha Noi Becomes the First Team Promoted
In the opening semifinal, Group A winner Tre Ha Noi faced Group B runner-up Truong Giang Gia Dinh. Despite being considered the underdog, Truong Giang Gia Dinh played confidently and took the lead in the 30th minute through Nguyen Thai Son.
Tre Ha Noi equalized in first-half stoppage time through Nguyen Dinh Thinh before taking control after the break. Goals from Nguyen Anh Tu in the 63rd minute and Nguyen Tien Dat in the 86th minute sealed a 3-1 victory, making Tre Ha Noi the first team promoted to the 2026-2027 First Division season.
Hue Secures the Second Promotion Spot
In the other semifinal, Group B winner Lam Dong met Group A runner-up Hue. Lam Dong fought hard but could not overcome a Hue side that had recently been relegated from the First Division and featured several experienced players.
Hue dominated early, using effective wing attacks and quick combinations to break down Lam Dong's defense. Three first-half goals — two from Huu Tuan and one from Lam Son — effectively decided the match. Lam Dong pushed forward in the second half but could not find a breakthrough against Hue's organized defense.
With the victory, Hue claimed the second automatic promotion berth.
One Final Opportunity for Lam Dong
The remaining promotion place will be decided on June 16 when Lam Dong faces Truong Giang Gia Dinh. The winner will earn the third and final ticket to the First Division.
