Processing and Manufacturing Remain Key Growth Drivers
Over the past four months, Lam Dong’s economy has maintained stable growth. However, several sectors have yet to meet expectations, with growth rates falling below planned scenarios.
In the industrial sector, the processing and manufacturing industries continue to play a leading role, with many products posting year-on-year growth. Most of the province’s key industrial products recorded positive increases.
Processed fruits and vegetables rose by 5.66%, fibers increased 19.23%, garment products climbed 23.19%, fertilizers and nitrogen compounds surged more than 29%, electricity production grew 1.96%, and alumina output increased 2.74% compared to the same period last year.

Stable Orders Support Industrial Production
The garment industry has continued providing stable employment for thousands of workers across the province.
According to Phan Quang Cuong, Deputy General Director of Nha Be Duc Linh Garment Co., Ltd. in Duc Linh Commune, the company secured sufficient orders for the entire 2026 production year from late 2025, ensuring stable jobs for more than 1,500 workers.
“
We are targeting revenue of US$12 million in 2026. At the same time, we plan to expand production lines and recruit around 600 additional workers to meet production demand this year,
Phan Quang Cuong, Deputy General Director of Nha Be Duc Linh Garment Co., Ltd.
Businesses producing and processing Lam Dong’s signature export products such as vegetables, flowers, tea and coffee are also receiving positive market signals.

Renewable Energy Remains a Strategic Sector
In the energy sector, the province currently has 110 operational power generation projects with a combined capacity exceeding 9,080 MW. Electricity production during the first four months of the year reached an estimated 10.98 billion kWh, up 1.96% year-on-year, with most output concentrated at the Vinh Tan Power Center.

However, according to Nguyen Ba Ut, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, thermal power plants at the center were dispatched at relatively low capacity by the National System and Market Operator (NSMO) during the first months of the year, reducing electricity output by 1.3 billion kWh in the first quarter.
Regarding more than 20 solar and wind power projects currently facing difficulties and procedural bottlenecks, Nguyen Ba Ut said the province is actively working to resolve obstacles so the projects can resume operation and contribute to overall economic growth.
Lam Dong moves to remove obstacles facing over 20 wind and solar power projects.
At the same time, Lam Dong is accelerating infrastructure investment and development in industrial parks and clusters, particularly the Son My 1 and Son My 2 industrial parks. The province is also intensifying investment promotion efforts to attract businesses to completed industrial zones, improve occupancy rates and boost industrial production.
