Lam Dong Hosts Offering Tray and Floral Arrangement Contest for Hung Kings Commemoration
Lam Dong province on April 25 launched a contest on offering tray decoration and floral arrangement as part of activities marking the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Festival 2026 at Prenn Waterfall Tourist Area.
The event took place at the Thuong Temple – Au Lac Shrine complex, drawing more than 150 contestants from 28 teams representing agencies, localities, organizations, religious institutions and tourism businesses across the province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, organizers said the contest aims to promote the tradition of “remembering one’s roots,” while preserving and honoring national cultural values and fostering a vibrant atmosphere in celebration of the Hung Kings’ anniversary.

The competition featured two main categories: offering tray decoration under the theme “Vietnamese Identity” and floral arrangement under the theme “Floral Essence of Vietnam in Tribute to the Ancestors.”

Teams were given 90 minutes to complete their entries, which were judged on aesthetics, creativity, thematic relevance, and their ability to convey traditional cultural values.

Following the opening ceremony, organizers presented flowers to encourage the participants and announced the judging criteria before teams began working on their entries, each showing careful preparation in both materials and ideas.

The contest is among key highlights of the Hung Kings’ Festival in Lam Dong, contributing to public engagement and offering visitors an opportunity to experience traditional cultural space in Da Lat.

Several notable entries reflected creativity and cultural richness, contributing to the overall success of the event.
