Specifically, the Provincial People’s Committee has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to take the lead in coordinating with relevant departments, agencies, units and localities in the eastern part of the province to organize the event at the outdoor stage of the Provincial Theater and Cultural and Arts Exhibition Center in Phan Thiet Ward.

The department will also develop detailed festival content, programs and scripts; draw up judging criteria for large and small lantern entries; and review the lantern displays submitted by participating units. It will also prepare children’s cultural and artistic performances, arrange lion and dragon dance teams and ceremonial drumming, and ensure other necessary conditions for the festival. The main program is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on September 24, the 14th day of the eighth lunar month.

The event will be organized with appropriate content, scale and format for children, local residents and visitors. Meanwhile, in the western part of the province, the Bac Gia Nghia Ward People’s Committee has been assigned to take the lead in organizing the event at Gia Nghia Central Square.

In addition, the Provincial People’s Committee has asked communes, wards and special administrative zones to proactively organize Mid-Autumn Festival activities for children in ways suited to local conditions, ensuring a joyful, wholesome and safe atmosphere. Grassroots Youth Union organizations are encouraged to actively take part in volunteer and creative activities, design lantern models and create vibrant festival spaces for the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival.

It also reflects the attention given by the Party, the State and society to the protection, care and education of children.

The festival will also provide an opportunity to showcase Lam Dong’s image, culture and people, helping enhance the province’s appeal as a destination and contributing to the province’s socio-economic and tourism development.
