Lam Dong Inaugurates Indian Cultural Space
On May 22, the inauguration ceremony for the Indian Cultural Space was jointly organized by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the Lam Dong Provincial Library, located in Phan Thiet Ward, Lam Dong Province.

Expanding Cultural and Educational Exchange Between Vietnam and India
Attending the event were Dr. Vipra Pandey, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Minh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee; along with representatives of provincial departments, agencies, educational institutions and localities in eastern Lam Dong.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the establishment of the Indian Cultural Space is part of efforts to strengthen cultural and educational cooperation, as well as people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and India.

The project also aims to meet the growing demand among local officials, residents, students and researchers for learning about the country, people and culture of India.
With support from the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, the Indian Cultural Space has now been completed, contributing to the enrichment and diversification of information resources at the provincial library while offering readers additional opportunities to access knowledge and international cultural materials.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Minh highly appreciated the proactive efforts of the relevant agencies and the effective coordination of the Lam Dong Provincial Library.

He especially acknowledged the support and cooperation provided by the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City throughout the process of developing and completing the Indian Cultural Space.

According to the provincial leader, bringing the Indian Cultural Space into operation at the provincial library not only enriches information resources, but also creates a new highlight for international cultural exchange activities, in line with the current trend of integration and development.


Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh requested relevant agencies to continue directing the provincial library to effectively manage, operate and maximize the value of the Indian Cultural Space. He also encouraged the organization of more exchange activities, exhibitions, book introductions, seminars and cultural experience programs.
These activities are expected to create favorable conditions for people from all walks of life, especially younger generations, to more easily access, explore and deepen their understanding of India, its culture and people.
The Indian Cultural Space is not only a venue for displaying books, documents and distinctive cultural values of India, but also a place for officials, residents, students and readers in the province to learn more about India’s history, culture, people and development achievements. Through this, it contributes to expanding knowledge, strengthening mutual understanding and further deepening the friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and India.
