Lam Dong launches 2026 tourism promotion campaign
On the evening of March 2, the Lam Dong Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center held a meeting to officially launch the 2026 tourism promotion campaign for Lam Dong Province.
The event was attended by Dinh Van Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the Lam Dong Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center; representatives from relevant departments and agencies; the provincial Tourism Association; tourism and travel businesses; and numerous local and national media agencies.

Expanding opportunities after administrative merger
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Dinh Van Tuan emphasized that following the administrative merger, Lam Dong has become the largest province in Viet Nam in terms of area, creating significant opportunities to form new growth poles based on green and sustainable development.
He highlighted the province’s advantages in connecting the “golden forests” of the Central Highlands with the “silver sea” of the coastal region, alongside strengths in high-tech agriculture, bauxite mining, renewable energy and increasingly synchronized transport infrastructure.
In 2026, Lam Dong aims to develop high-quality, sustainable tourism, targeting approximately 25.75 million visitors, including 1.58 million international arrivals with tourism revenue of 71,500 billion VND. The province is striving to position itself as a leading green tourism hub in Viet Nam and Southeast Asia.
Ensuring connectivity during Lien Khuong airport upgrade
Regarding the temporary closure of Lien Khuong International Airport from March 4 to August 15 for upgrades, provincial leaders affirmed that the move is necessary to ensure operational safety and enhance capacity.
During this period, the province will intensify communications on multimodal transport options linking Da Lat – Phan Thiet – Gia Nghia, as well as connections to nearby localities with airports. At the same time, key transport infrastructure projects will be accelerated to improve accessibility.

Lam Dong will also implement a range of coordinated measures, including expanding multi-channel communications; providing clear guidance on convenient road routes to tourist attractions; organizing tourism stimulus programs; promoting the destination in key domestic and international markets; and coordinating with Lien Khuong Airport and airlines to attract international routes immediately after the airport reopens.

Vice Chairman Dinh Van Tuan expressed confidence that with open and creative cooperation among authorities, businesses and media agencies, the campaign will deliver tangible results and further elevate Lam Dong’s tourism brand in 2026.
New tourism products and stimulus programs unveiled
At the event, the Lam Dong Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center introduced new tourism routes, destinations and products; announced a road travel map under the theme “Easy connections on every journey”; launched a plan to produce short feature videos showcasing road trips to Lam Dong; and kicked off a tourism stimulus program running from March to August 2026.
