Lam Dong Leaders Extend Lunar New Year Greetings to Major Universities in Ho Chi Minh City
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026 – the Year of the Horse – a delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Minh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee visited and extended Tet greetings to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City (UMP) and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM).
The delegation also included Ms. Le Thi Bich Lien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Education and Training, along with leaders from several provincial departments and agencies of Lam Dong province.

During the meetings, Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh briefed the university leaders on Lam Dong’s socio-economic performance in 2025.
Despite numerous challenges, the province achieved and even surpassed most of its key development targets. The local economy maintained steady growth, while progress was recorded across the cultural, social, educational, and healthcare sectors. National defense and public security remained stable, and residents’ living standards continued to improve.
The Vice Chairman emphasized that these achievements were made possible through the strong determination of the political system and the broad consensus of the people.
He also spoke highly of the practical and effective cooperation between Lam Dong Province and the two universities, particularly in training and developing qualified personnel, improving medical and educational human resources, and conducting scientific research to support sustainable development.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh reaffirmed that Lam Dong will continue to create favorable conditions for the institutions to expand their training programs, research projects, and collaborative activities within the province.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh extended New Year wishes for health, happiness, and success to the universities’ leaders, lecturers, staff, and students. He expressed his hope that the two institutions would continue accompanying Lam Dong in its long-term socio-economic development, particularly in nurturing high-quality human resources.
Leaders of both the University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City thanked Lam Dong’s authorities for their continued attention and support. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation and contributing more actively to the province’s future development.

Through these visits, Lam Dong once again underscored its commitment to building strong partnerships with the leading academic institutions—laying the foundation for sustainable growth through education, healthcare, and innovation.
