Lam Dong Leaders Welcome First Visitors of the 2026 New Year
On the morning of January 1, 2026, Lam Dong Province held a ceremonial program to welcome the first visitors of the new year at the domestic arrival terminal of Lien Khuong International Airport.
Attending the event were Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee; Comrade Dinh Van Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; along with leaders of provincial departments, local authorities, and representatives of tourism and aviation enterprises.

The event aimed to promote Lam Dong as a friendly and hospitable destination, creating a positive first impression for visitors arriving in the province for sightseeing and leisure at the very beginning of the new year.

In a joyful and festive atmosphere welcoming 2026, provincial leaders, together with representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center; the Lam Dong Tourism Association; Lien Khuong International Airport; and Vietnam Airlines, personally greeted and presented gifts to approximately 250 visitors arriving in Lam Dong on the first morning of the year.

A highlight of the program was the ceremonial welcome and presentation of souvenirs to 10 passengers on the first flight to Lam Dong in 2026, flight VN-6172 operating on the Ho Chi Minh City–Da Lat route.

The visitors received scarves and locally themed souvenirs from the provincial leaders, including dragon fruit–shaped teddy bears and outstanding OCOP products of Lam Dong Province. On the same occasion, Vietnam Airlines also presented gifts to the flight crew and cabin crew operating this special flight.

Welcoming visitors on the first day of the new year reflects Lam Dong’s hospitality and appreciation for travelers, while helping to further promote the image of the province as a safe, attractive and culturally rich destination. The initiative also serves as motivation for the local tourism sector as it strives to achieve its goal of welcoming more than 25 million visitors in 2026.
