Lam Dong Localities Begin Disbursing Government Gifts

Earlier, the Government issued Resolution No. 418 on December 28 on the presentation of gifts from the Party and the State to mark the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

The beneficiaries include people with meritorious services to the revolution as prescribed by the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for People with Meritorious Services; social protection beneficiaries; and recipients of social pensions, including orphans, individuals without caregivers, and those living in orphanages.

On December 30, the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No. 2850 on targeted budget allocations to communes, wards and special administrative units to fund the gift disbursement in line with Resolution No. 418.

According to Mr. Le Xuan Thuan, Chairman of the Truong Xuan Commune People’s Committee, immediately after the resolution was issued, the locality coordinated with banks to assist policy beneficiaries and monthly allowance recipients in opening bank accounts.

To date, about 80% of eligible beneficiaries under Resolution No. 418 have bank accounts, while the remaining 20% will receive the gifts directly at two locations: the headquarters of the Truong Xuan Commune People’s Committee and the former headquarters of Nam N’Jang Commune.

Following a review, more than 600 beneficiaries in Truong Xuan Commune are eligible to receive the gifts. The commune advanced funds and began disbursement from the morning of December 31. Bank transfers are carried out in the morning, while cash payments are made in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the Ham Liem Commune People’s Committee, said that more than 2,000 beneficiaries in the area are eligible to receive gifts from the Party and the State. The locality completed the necessary procedures on the night of December 30 and began disbursing the gifts on December 31, with the aim of completing the process within the day.

Given the large number of beneficiaries, in addition to payments via bank accounts and the VNeID application, the commune also distributes cash. For individuals facing difficulties in mobility or those without bank accounts, local officials are assigned to deliver the gifts directly to households.

The Government has required all localities to complete the gift distribution no later than December 31.
