Lam Dong Makes Thorough Preparations for Scientific Conference on Development Models
This directive was given by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Dang Hong Sy at a meeting held on May 26 to review preparations for the scientific conference titled “Development Models for Lam Dong Province: Potential and Breakthroughs.”

The meeting was also attended by Le Trong Yen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

Reports from relevant agencies showed that preparations for the conference have largely remained on schedule. Agencies and units have proactively coordinated to carry out their assigned tasks, while the conference content has been carefully prepared to ensure scientific rigor, practicality, and consistency with the province’s development orientation in the new period.


Under the plan, the conference is scheduled to take place on May 30, 2026, at the Tea Connect Event Center – Tea Resort Prenn in Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat.
The event is expected to welcome 50 delegates, including leaders of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Da Nang City, Thanh Hoa and Khanh Hoa provinces along with experts, scientists, business representatives, and investors.

The Provincial People's Committee has coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to develop the draft agenda and detailed scripts for the conference, including its presentation and discussion sessions. Presentation papers are being finalized for inclusion in the official conference documents.

Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio, Television Station have also completed a video introducing the province’s potential and strengths for the conference. Relevant units are reviewing and finalizing arrangements for sound, lighting, landscaping, environmental sanitation, power and water supply, and security and public order.
As part of the conference program, the delegations are expected to conduct field surveys of several distinctive economic development models and areas of strength in Lam Dong Province

Speaking at the meeting, Le Trong Yen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, emphasized the conference’s importance in shaping the province’s development orientation in the new period. He also asked departments and sectors to develop detailed plans for logistics and reception, ensuring that the conference is organized in a thoughtful, scientific, and effective manner.

In his concluding remarks, Dang Hong Sy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee asked relevant departments, sectors, and units to continue thoroughly reviewing all arrangements for the conference and ensure that reception, logistics, security, medical services, transportation, and accommodation are prepared thoughtfully and professionally, leaving no room for errors.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also noted that business invitations should be selective and targeted, with priority given to major corporations and enterprises with the potential to invest in the province’s key sectors, including industry, tourism, and high-tech agriculture. Reception duties must be assigned clearly to specific individuals, with defined responsibilities to ensure continuous coordination from the time delegates depart for Lam Dong until the conclusion of their working program in the province.
He emphasized that the conference must help project the image of Lam Dong as a civilized, friendly, responsible, and receptive province committed to attracting investment and promoting socio-economic development.
Agencies and units were asked to coordinate closely in organizing the conference, as the event is of significant importance to the province’s development and will be attended by central and provincial leaders, leading experts, and many businesses.
