In recent years, Lam Dong Province has strengthened consumer rights protection through legal education, market inspection and supervision, and support for businesses in improving product and service quality.

Delivering opening remarks, deputy director of the Lam Dong Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center Vo Thi Hoang Yen said Vietnam Consumer Rights Day is an important occasion to raise public awareness of consumer rights and responsibilities and to promote transparency and fairness in production and business operations. She said the event also offers an opportunity for government agencies, businesses, and consumers to strengthen coordination and work together to build a healthy, civilized, and sustainable market.

Notably, this year’s program takes place amid rapid digital transformation and fast-changing consumer behavior, making personal data protection and transaction security increasingly urgent.
The theme “Information Security – Building Trust – Sustainable Consumption” therefore carries practical significance for government agencies, enterprises, and consumers alike.
The program gives businesses opportunities to promote their brands, better understand customer preferences, and improve product quality, services, and after-sales care. At the same time, consumers gain access to more information and service experiences, helping strengthen their confidence when choosing and using products available on the market.
Activities marking Vietnam Consumer Rights Day are held annually to promote laws and policies on consumer rights protection and to highlight the role of consumers in Lam Dong’s socio-economic development.
