Lam Dong Meets Press Agencies to Mark 101st Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day
On the evening of June 18, the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting with press agencies to mark the 101st anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2026).

The gathering was attended by Vo Thanh Binh, a member of the Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Publicity, Education and Mass Mobilization; Dinh Van Tuan, a member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and Le Huy Toan, a member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio-Television, and Chairman of the provincial Journalists Association.
Leaders of provincial departments, agencies and sectors, the provincial Journalists Association, representative offices and resident bureaus of central press agencies, and many reporters and journalists working in Lam Dong also attended the event.

Speaking at the gathering, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Van Tuan said the press has always played a vital role in the Party’s ideological work, serving as a bridge between the Party, the State and the people, while helping build social consensus and promote national development.
He praised the contributions of local journalists and central press agencies operating in the province. He noted that press agencies have continued to renew their content and presentation formats, accelerate the use of digital technology, improve information quality, and produce many award-winning works at the national and local levels.
The comprehensive results achieved by press activities have helped enhance the standing of the Lam Dong press and made important contributions to the province’s socio-economic development.

Looking ahead, leader of the Provincial People’s Committee said Lam Dong will focus on key programs and projects under the provincial master plan for 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050. Priority will be given to strategic infrastructure projects, including the Tan Phu – Bao Loc – Lien Khuong, Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh, and Nha Trang – Da Lat expressways; the upgrade of Lien Khuong Airport; civil aviation infrastructure at Phan Thiet Airport; and major projects in tourism, industry, high-tech agriculture, renewable energy, and bauxite mining and processing.
The province will also host major cultural and tourism events, especially the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026 to promote its image and attract more visitors.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee urged press agencies to continue supporting the province through timely, objective, and multidimensional reporting on key programs and projects, helping build social consensus, strengthen public trust, and attract investment for development.

Amid digital transformation and the rapid expansion of multiplatform media, Vice Chairman Dinh Van Tuan urged press agencies to focus on developing journalists with firm political resolve, strong professional ethics, and high professional competence. He said the province will continue creating favorable conditions for the press to operate effectively and fulfill its tasks in the new period.
On behalf of journalists in the province, Le Huy Toan, Director of Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio-Television, thanked provincial leaders for their attention and support.
He said that as Lam Dong implements the rearrangement of administrative units and builds a new province, the press has upheld its pioneering role on the ideological and cultural front by promptly disseminating the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws, helping orient public opinion and foster social consensus.

According to Le Huy Toan, following the merger, Lam Dong now has 13 press agencies with representative offices or resident bureaus, 34 agencies with resident reporters, and 28 others that regularly send reporters and collaborators to cover local developments. The figures reflect the province’s growing appeal and rising profile among media organizations nationwide.
In the coming period, journalists will continue to uphold their pioneering role in information and communication work, promptly covering the implementation of the Party’s resolutions and the State’s policies, spreading the spirit of innovation, and helping bring policies into daily life. These efforts will create momentum for Lam Dong’s rapid and sustainable development.
