Promoting Economic Cooperation

In recent years, Lam Dong has identified external relations and international integration as key tasks, implemented in a coordinated manner and closely aligned with the province’s sustainable development goals.

Based on Viet Nam’s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification, the province has focused on promoting economic diplomacy as an important channel to expand development space, attract resources and enhance the value of local products.

In practice, Lam Dong’s external relations have gradually shifted from expanding partnerships to delivering tangible outcomes. Through working programs with diplomatic missions, international organizations and foreign business associations in Viet Nam, the province has actively introduced its development potential and investment environment, particularly in high-tech agriculture, agricultural processing, eco-tourism, resort tourism and green economic development.

Priority has been given to international cooperation in high-tech agriculture, sustainable tourism development, environmental protection and climate change adaptation, which has yielded initial positive results.

Cultural Diplomacy – Spreading the Image of Lam Dong

Alongside economic cooperation, Lam Dong has attached importance to cultural diplomacy and external communications as key pillars in expanding its external relations.

Through cultural exchange and promotional activities, the province has gradually built an image of a locality rich in cultural identity, friendly and proactive in international integration.

At the end of 2025, the Southeast Asia Gong Culture Festival 2025 was held in Lam Dong with the participation of artisan and artist delegations from Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia. The event not only honored the cultural heritage of the Central Highlands’ gong culture but also became a highlight in international cultural exchange activities, contributing to promoting Lam Dong’s image to regional partners.

In addition, the World T.E.A Fest 2025, held at Lam Vien Square in Da Lat, attracted large numbers of domestic and international visitors. Through exhibitions, trade activities and business networking, the festival promoted the Lam Dong tea brand while opening opportunities for cooperation in production, processing and trade, thereby enhancing the value of local agricultural products.

Alongside cultural diplomacy, external communications have been implemented in a synchronized manner to meet the requirements of information dissemination in the new context. In 2025, Lam Dong strengthened the promotion of its image across multiple media platforms, contributing to consolidating and expanding cooperation with international partners.
